I am having a night like that dura.

Constant pauses, almost like rubber banding but it does not repeat. Game was playing fine this morning. I tried several serves, i did ping test and speedtest all good. And also rebooted PC and all routers and modems, still crap. 😡

Last night I was having constant one shot kills happen and kills behind cover happen to me. It was worse than pre-netcode patch. Frustrating. Maybe just a bad night for networks.

I looked at videos of people with rubberbanding and mine wasn't like that, but yes frequent pauses. It seemed more connection related, but not sure.

I enabled Origin in-game again, and it's still fine. So maybe you could try updating DirectX (from the redist directory under BF4 install) as that is one step I took before it started working fine again.

Guy raging on me because I shot him in the face at 10 yards with a sniper rifle and an 8X scope because he was too slow to notice me as I ran around a corner. Accusing me of hacking while he goes 1-14. I ended up at like 27-21 on Op Lock with the Gol. (derping on my part with the weapon choice but I was a bit bored :/).

And then the usual raging by some guy against some other guys using shotguns on Op Lock. Always telling these guys to shut it and use their own just ends up with them telling the rest of us how low skill these are and that only noobs use them. Fine then, continue fighting on a map that benefits the shotguns' one strength, CQC, and keep complaining then.

Trollbait! I love those guys, they make online gaming a hoot. LOL

Can anyone tell me how things are now going with Mantle in BF4? Has it made any difference? Im thinking of building my son an AMD based machine and would like some info from people with firsthand experience with it.

Swear to god everytime I play I keep thinking "I should try Mantle" but I never want to restart the client to do so after I've just joined a server. And then whenever I'm done playing I never remember to change it before I close out lol.

Well now would be a good time to fix it while I have you thinking about it. 😉

It doesn't ask me to restart the client when i swith between them.

I don't understand what the hell Dice did to my computer to make BF4 not work after a full wipe and reinstall of anything origin related.

Origin in-game enabled?Had a issue even loading any map and a attempt to even close it would lock up my rig.Cold hard reboot was required.Disable that pos asap.😡

PC Game Update Jul 8 Patch Notes

EA's Battlefield Community Manager | Twitter @dan_mitre said:
COMMANDER APP:
-Various bug fixes

GENERAL:
-Fix for an issue where players were able to duplicate Battle Pickups by repeatedly picking up a kit
-Fix for an issue where field upgrades would stop working after one round when players had reached the max field upgrade level
-Fix for a crash that could occur when a player left a round
-Added a 15 seconds warm-up timer for all Official games
-Created a user interface for tweaking the joystick dead zone on PC because the lack of it was preventing some players to use their joysticks
-Fix for an issue that prevented players to issue squad order around capture points during the sandstorm on Gulf of Oman
-Option added for double tap forward to sprint (when on foot)

GRAPHICAL:
-Fix for an issue where the player would get a water splash effect on the screen after crashing an EOD/MAV/SUAV into the water
-Fix for an issue where Mantle users would receive a low frame rate when running the default Mantle multi-GPU settings

MODES:
-Added a competitive Obliteration game mode

SERVERS:
-Fix for an issue where server administrators couldn’t ban players that had clan tags

USER INTERFACE:
-Added total team experience points to the end of round screen for the Capture the Flag game mode
-Added user interface options for tweaking the ADS aiming sensitivity
-Fix for an issue where the kill card wasn’t displayed in some cases in Hardcore mode
-Dog tags are rearranged in the kill cards so the right one is not obstructed

VEHICLES:
-Fix for an issue where the flag would occasionally float in mid-air when players got out of vehicles while carrying the flag
-Removed the boost button press to turn off boost for vehicles, boost should be turned off by releasing the accelerator, this makes it consistent with soldier sprint and helps using vehicle boost easier (for joystick)
-Adjusted the PWC physics so it drives/controls more nicely in all water levels
-Option added for double tap forward to boost (when driving a vehicle)

WEAPONS:
-Fix for an issue where a weapon would flail wildly after a player would die
-Removed the 2nd set of shell that are visible in the speed loader when reloading the M412 revolver
-Fix for the Hawk Shotgun missing “pump action” animation in 3rd person while crouching
-Fix for RPG-7 rocket remaining visible in the launcher after the last shot is fired while zoomed in
-Fixed the bipod animations for MTAR-21
-Foregrip in 3rd person now has hand in the correct position on M416/M417
-Fix for a broken animation when switching to AWS as main weapon

I'm still getting crashes with dual 7950's on mantle as of this patch. I'm running 14.6 beta. I'll try to screen cap the next time it happens. Anyone else getting crashes?

Someone has a art of going out of their way just to make this game as unenjoyable for some people as possible with these patches, got a flock of new issues.

Issues are as far out as maps randomly reloading mid game to counter knife not working to at random points then i got my ammo completely going empty for no reason. Rage quit for the first time last night when my counter knife didn't work, my ammo disappeared and massive rubberbanding all happened in less then 5 mins on a pistol only Locker match. All three happened seconds before engaging enemies too lol.

Done with this freaking bs, BF3 wasn't even close to this broken this far out from release.

SSDs are under $0.50 a gig now, and the best upgrade you can do to your system in general. The whiners with physical disks need to get with the times. Games don't support 10 year old video cards either.
For sure. I remember the first time I fired up BF3 from a HDD and said to myself, "Forget this, I dont care how much space it eats up, this game is going on my SSD pronto".

HDDs aren't unused tech (they are the default) and the load time bonus isn't justifiable at all. While it's the best overall upgrade it's also one that impact actual game play by close to 0.

Been a few years since i have had a mechanical drive in my pc, honestly run only ssds in my computer and before that the raptor drives from WD. Got a 180gb which doesn't fit all my games so eventually will be moving on to a 500gb in the foreseeable future.

Loading times on the ssd are dramatically better in BF games then any other, did a ram drive experiment with a older rig and BF2 and that was insanely fast for loading.😛That was before ssd even became somewhat affordable lol.

I'm considering a hybrid drive for my next build. 80% of the performance for 50% of the cost. Might reconsider and go with a small SSD (120gb) and a hybrid drive.

Actually it did impact the game before they put the timer on there. Before I could be hovering at the enemy spawn in an attack helo waiting for the poor HDD saps to spawn into the game. 😀

Yeah I should get a SSD. I haven't seen a big need for one, but BF4 takes 2+ minutes to load a map, so I'm guessing it would be a big improvement for that.

I always get in earlier than most players. If you are seeing the timer then you will be playing an early game with not a lot of people in it, because most don't seem to make it in. An SSD is the reason why I make it in so fast I suspect.

I am not sure a hybrid would get the same advantages. In essence its just an SSD cache on top of a HDD. The problem is with BF4 is the map loading wouldn't really be common, so unless BF4 is the only thing the machine does you may well find the cache keeps swapping to other things and you end up hitting the HDD all the time. Its great for commonly used files like Windows core system files and basically anything that gets used on every use of the machine (your web browser) but it isn't quite there for something that is different most times you play (map in BF4 or a rarely used application).
