If it werent for these assignments I would never touch them. I think they are in the game to just take up space. LOL

Its not that they are weak, its just there are far better options. The pew pew pew spammers would be better served with full auto carbines or ARs, and the bolt snipers are a far better option for power and accuracy.

For these assignments I always run with a heavy barrel/stubby grip/laser/ACOG, and go for the head, just like I do with bolt guns. Those that spam these weapons should be boiled in their own pudding! BAH HUMBUG! :biggrin:

haha Thats how you are supposed to use DMRs. Suppress the hell out of the person so you can use as many shots as you need, cause they can't accurately fire back. I've taken down groups of 3 or 4, just by spamming.

I think its the total of 250m, but the headshots have to be over 50m for the points to count towards the marksman ribbon. It makes it hard for snipers who play the objectives.

UGH! Guessthat means Ill have to be one those useless base campers or tower snipers going for 1,000M headshots and getting 5 kills per hour.

lol Thats how I die by DMR...psh psh psh psh! psh psh psh psh psh! PSH PSH PSH PSH PSH! Whats lame is when you die after that third set of shots. At least when I use the DMR I get my kills with the first set of shots. I think DMRs make me rage more than mortars and UCAVs. Well, maybe tied with a guy who is prone using and lmg and bipod camping a doorway. So many ways to get cheap kills in this game. I wish there was proximity voip so they could hear me yell "You bleeping xxx!"

The psh psh psh PEW PEW PEW DMR deaths are the worst IMO, because you know if they were using any other weapon you most likely would have turned and won that fight against such a poor marksman. D:
 
Still getting memory leaks with 6950, latest AMD drivers, and Windows 8.1. Very annoying. Anyone else still getting memory leaks?
 
Okay they just drop the price today locally down to around $50 for the game I think, so might be okay to pick up now. They're selling three versions through origin, digital deluxe, Standard Edition, premium. They're all about the same price. Which one is best to get?
 
Man i don't understand why battlelog won't default people into the region they are located. That is something that is possible. I'm tired of joining servers and half the players are 200+ pings.

If you want all the upcoming DLCs then the game + premium is the way to go.

I was easily able to rack up 500 kills with the RFB and didn't even bother trying the other ones. I may be in an alternate universe as I suck with the Ace 23 and just stuck with it to get 500 kills.

Just to clarify for NiceGuy - premium is just the expansions, not the main game. What you want to start with is standard edition. Don't bother with digital deluxe unless it's the same price.

Yeah, I should have said standard game + premium instead of just game. Still all jacked up and excited this Christmas morning I suppose. 😀


Id also like to reiterate....I HATE THE SKS! Im getting plenty of kills with it but not the required headshots for the From Russia with Lead assignment. Its so pathetically inaccurate. Even with the 4x ACOG I can hold dead on someones head at anything over 75 meters and its a 60-70% chance of a total miss. Hopefully the upcoming heavy barrel unlock will help, but right now it blows big time.

Just got the sound loop crash again on Paracel Storm. Thought it was fixed in the most recent update. Apparently not. Was having my best game ever in the fast attack craft too.
 
My kid got a nice remote control chopper for Christmas, needless to say Ive been getting some nice Apache practice offlline. 😀

Yeah I feel the SKS was the worst one. I finished Made In China today and the QBB is not too bad. It doesnt jerk around much at all and its pretty accurate, feels much better than SKS. Downside is its so little ammo in mag. Working on M39 now for the final assignment.... just started with it but it feels kind of in between the SKS and QBB...
 
I have my dpi down to 1300 and sensitivity down to 17 - 18%. I can't imagine trying to play higher than that without motion sickness or shooting around like a bobble head doll. I still can't snipe. Feels like on touch of the mouse and the scope slides off 20 meters.

Too high IMO. I got 3 settings: 400, 800 & 1600. On foot gameplay is with 800. Too high and you will suck at sniping unless you are some sort of prodigy kid with cyborg reflexes.
