I really don't understand why people rage hard when they die to a shotgun on Op Lock. Is a shotgun a complicated unlock that requires membership in the Illuminati or something? I tell them to equip their own then, get called a noob and a loser. Ponder in chat why they're using the LVG for 90% of their kills and get more spittle induced rage chat.

I'm just leveling the things (since the DMRs are complete garbage, yes, lets make a 7.62 pattern weapon less accurate and harder to use than the assault rife version. This is a good idea!) to see how they feel and some people are just going nuts when I kill them with a point blank only weapon.
 
It's because shotguns are noob weapons that require no aiming and have high damage I guess. I play HC so any weapon kills quickly, I never rage against them. I like the rage for shotguns though and at times run around with one just to piss people off.

There are far more cheapass weapons out there than a shotgun to rage at.
 
So when I use a shotgun on any other map than Op Lock, am I being a mega pro for using a weapon with an effective range of about 15 meters while running around in wide open spaces?

(and sniping people with my SRAW because I definitely can't hit them with my shotgun or my pistol)

Nope. I haven't done that since probably back when I had my x800xtpe. Haven't had an issue just straight updating through the installer.
 
Went for some extreme distance sniping yesterday with the 20x scope and the M98B. Got a bunch of 700 meter hits. It was very satisfying. Tried going for 1000+ but my video card didn't render the buildings that far so all I could see was the spot markers lol.

It looks like my issue with no mouse click registering and no keyboard response on the deployment screen has been around since the beta. http://answers.ea.com/t5/Battlefiel...t-work-in-the-game-battlefield-4/td-p/1727737

I think everything worked ok with catalyst 13.9 but not since I installed 13.12. I may have to test if the 13.11 beta works.
 
Those nation related gold assignments are pretty tough, but fun. I finished Swedish Steel which required 100 kills with CBJ... man I would never use this staple gun otherwise... its awful!

But it's nice to get out of m comfort zone and force myself to use guns Id never use normally.

Now I am working on From Russia With Lead where I just need a dozen or so more kills with the Rex (the 50 SKS headshots was not easy) and also started the Made in China one. Instead of a carbine like the others the China one wants 100 kills with the shotgun. Thinking should just join a Lockers TDM server for that.

It's definitely not K/D ratio friendly working on these 🙂

I got the Swedish Steel one a week or so ago and that CBJ-MS is absolute trash!

I decided to go for the American Classics today and got the 50 .44 Mag kills in two games of HC Domination. I used the 3x scope and just sniped away. LOL Working on the 100 M4 kills now, and its a pretty decent weapon actually.

I dread the DMR's most of all and especially despise the Russian SKS. I cant hit shit with that thing and felt the same about BF3's version of it also.
 
Well BF4 finally feels like it's working reasonably well. There are still random crashes, hit markers going away, and sometime bad hit reg. But those don't happen very often and for the most part it's working well and it a lot of fun.

Edit: and now that hit reg is working well I am doing much much better.
 
man, grinding for the pistol unlocks is so boring, even on a pistol only server.

I dread having to grind the snipers and DMRs.

I just crashed twice in the last 30 minutes. I mean, seriously. Before, my SLI was broken with the previous patch, but at least the game didn't crash like it did before. Now, after they fix SLI with the last patch...it is crashing again on me. I hope EA loses this damned lawsuit and is never allowed to get involved in gaming ever again.

Takes any fun from playing the game whatsoever when you are wondering if/when the game is going to crash on you again. Worthless.

Just got the From Russia with Lead completed, need the 50 DMRs to complete the China one and started on the American one too with .44 magnum kills. Yeah you are right the .44 on a pistol only HC server is awesome. I didnt even have the scope... how do you get the scope?

I see you unlocked all but one knife, you got lucky with the battlepacks! Did you get extra ones from slim jims or something?

Looking through my battlepacks and the .44 scope came in a veteran battlepack for playing previous BF's. I did get all the slim jim packs but it looks like most of the knives came from gold rank up packs. I got my last knife yesterday, (the trench knife) in a premium battlepack.
 
I think I need to play single player to unlock some stuff. I have assault and sniper fully unlocked, except for special assignments and single player stuff. Spawned as engineer only a couple times and never even spawned as support yet haha. Kinda cool because I got unlocks to do still.
Game didn't crash yesterday. Its catching up to BF3 in terms of quality. It actually works pretty good. When second assault comes out and I can go back to Oman, my life will be complete.

I just unlocked the SKS yesterday, thing is a rape stick with a holo sight and angled grip.
