I am at the end of my wits. The general feedback from people that frequent this thread is that the crashes have been fixed, yet I keep crashing. I have put more effort into experimenting to try and fix it on my end than all other games combined and I started gaming 1983-ish. The 2nd worst problem was getting a poor Fighter Bomber port from Amiga to run on the C6 to put things in perspective.

Multiple OS installs and drive formats, countless driver & multiple frameworks edition and versions even "cross-pollinating" them, underclocking/undervolting and ancient Aztec chants. My ping to servers ~300 miles goes as low as 12 ms, I can't recall ever having a ping in the triple digits. My framerate averages 45 with extremely rarely dips to 37 fps. a All other games I play run without a hitch including AC4, Metro 2033, F1 2013, War Thunder, ARMA3... I am at fully stock clock settings with great CPU/GPU temps and no instabilities/crashes other than BF4 whatsoever. When the game runs, it runs without issues and without any symptoms of the upcoming crash at all. Sometimes it crashes even in deployment screen. Vehicles, uniforms, loadouts, server size, game mode, none appear to change the fequency of crashes. The in game performance test shows packet loss sporadically. I was almost tempted to buy another Frostbite game to try to narrow the issue but than thought better of it, why the hell should I, it obviously isn't my fault. It is always the same sound loop crash. If it weren't for the awesomeness of playing with ATOT, I would have given up long ago.Rant/

I still have crashes. I've given up complaining about it and just join another game. Hopefully one day it'll be stable.... Hopefully!!!

If its a soundloop crash, it def is something wrong on system. Something soundcard related.

It's random. I haven't crashed in a long time. Last crash was "Battlefield is not responding". Havent had the memory leak problem in a while too.

*knock on wood*

Also decided not to upgrade my video card. As long as it's not holding back my performance I'm good.

Damn, cheaters have been out. How do you watch them?

This guy was on hurt locker, 64 man, and before anyone else even had 4 kills had 12, after just a few minutes was 60-4. The next best wasn't even double digit kills on either team. The guy also non-stop talked shit.

If only we could reach through a computer screen and castrate someone.

I notice you have a Catleap, are you actually playing at 1440 with that 7950 and a stock i5 2400? I would guess that you are having memory issues of some sort, but wtf do I know. What do your crash reports tell you?

If you have shadowplay or fraps, just go observe mode and record them. Put video on youtube, report profile and email dice link to video. They have banned people before just on peoples videos.

Is there AMD equivalent of shadowplay?

Raedonpro will do it similar to Shadowplay, but I dont think its working yet. Right now they are using MJPEG, not the hardware H.264 encoder. And its not known if it will record in the background or stream to Twitch like Shadowplay, but the PS3 and Xbox 1 do similar things, so it probably will. And there is always MSI Afterburner, Fraps, and Dxtory.

I tell them to cheat away.

thanks. I'll look into it further.

Same report for every crash. Monitoring CPU, GPU and memory behavior while gaming, it doesn't appear to be a memory issue. Frequency of crashes doesn't change on medium settings, the only change is reduction in use of resources and FPS average going to 60.

Ok this is getting really annoying...

Every day when I play a new game, it says my save data is corrupt. I have no idea what this means or how I fix it, but after it happens I have to set up my graphics settings again, and redo all my vehicle loadouts. It is happening every single day now. Only the first time I play for the day though. Then it is fine, until the next day, when it happens again. It is really annoying, anyone have any ideas?

Don't know is causing it, but try BF 4 Settings Editor. Let's you make config changes, backups, etc.

Thanks, I'll give that a shot. I think it has something to do with syncing to Origin because it shows up after that does before loading the game. We'll see if that works though.

Settings editor will save you the pain of reloading bindings manually because you can save/reload them but I would try reinstalling origin or looking for their temp directory and nuking it. Or both.

Found a new bug. Couldn't respawn on Lockers no matter what I tried. Then the game just shut off. No crash message or anything. Just straight to desktop.

Does the Test Range freeze up for you all where you can move your mouse but you can't click on anything? I've updated drivers twice and it worked normally a few times but it wouldn't do squat for me last night.

I've installed the new 13.12 catalyst/driver. Before test range starts it warns me that I'm using catalyst 12.10 which my catalyst shows. My driver in the catalyst is showing 13.251-131206a-165817C-ATI.

Did something not uninstall or install correctly? Or is AMD or BF4 at fault?

Could you all please share a guide you refer to when updating drivers?

I just choose custom when they ask and then make sure everything is selected except their game info thing. Updates just fine.

Thanks. I guess what I meant was do you uninstall all AMD related programs drivers and then install the latest version? Does it uninstall cleanly 99% of the time? Does AMD make a special uninstaller or is there a leftover cleaner available?

For whats its worth since the last patch a week ago, I have yet to crash. Have had more fun the past week, than the previous month or more since it came out. Alienware m14x with 650M GT, latest drivers.

Yep, I had only one crash and it wasn't like the others. Game seems nearly perfect for me actually. Glad they sorted things out before their Christmas break. Imagine all the pissed off "kids" (by kids I mean 34 year old gamer brats like me) not being able to game during Christmas!?
