I get multi core for games with AI, and lots of units, ie starcraft type stuff. But in a pure multiplayer. I struggle to see whats going on.

my i2500k is getting pegged 90%+ on all cores. Typically only see that with video transcoding.
 
Anyone gotten a hard crash where you get grey vertical stripes on your screen? I've had it on both my systems, so I don't think it's a bad overclock.

Last time it happened, the text overlay onscreen became jumbled right before the crash, so I'm pretty sure it's an engine error.

All the console kids are crying that the game has terrible graphics.

Their download by the way was 1.9 GB...
What did they expect?

Clearly they have no concept of the fact that it's a BETA and that EA wasn't going to give them HD textures and all when people on Xbox 360/PS3 on average have MUCH smaller HDs than PC users so they got to make sure they have the bandwidth to actually get the Beta, have enough HD space so they can get as much people, etc.

I couldn't play the beta on my 360 due to lack of space, but PC, sure!

BF isnt' even that great on console. You lose the experience with 16v16.

bf3 was 12v12 actually.

bf4 is supposed to have 64 man servers
 
The more I play the less I like it... BF3 had much better gunplay. It's just horrible in the beta which is worrying because the gunplay was awesome in the BF3 beta and got worse after patches to the real game.

Now in this game I swear it's like I'm under heavy suppression at all times. Bullets missing stationary enemies. No recognition of headshots when youa re killed. You just think you randomly died in 1 hit.

I shot 15 rockets from a chopper through another chopper today. Everything seems really wonky.
 
Interesting, my feeling is the exact opposite. I think the gunplay is the single most improved aspect of BF4.
 
anyone get FPS lag?

seems to hit most noticeably when shooting in close quarters

running BF4 with 4770K stock, 7850 @ 1.1Ghz 2 GB, 16GB RAM

turned everything to low and FPS is much higher according to FRAPS but still get a herky jerky lag at times. don't know if it might be network related. tried network smoothing at 0% and 100% and vsync on / off.

also, maybe it's me but I think BF4 looks better with everything set to low

I can actually see things much clearly

the lag is very noticeable during a knife kill animation

reading it's poor Windows 7 optimization while Windows 8 performance is much better. guess DICE will have it fixed in the full release. surprised they let something like this through for a beta though.

Something seems goofy for you. My 2500k @4.4 Ghz is around 70% load in the beta according to Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. Never comes close to 90%.

But, my 6950 is at 100% so I guess my video card is the bottleneck.
