Basically what a tick rate of 10hz means is that every 10th of a second (every 100ms; for comparison, a blink of an eye typically takes 300-400ms) your client builds a packet to be sent to the server telling the server "what you are doing" essentially.

Any time I get shot in the back I don't hear footsteps, guns, anything. Just black screen dead.
Super annoying. Rear sound has been shitty for me since BF3. It's like they purposely mute it so people can get more knife kills. I have a good sound card and good headphones, dammit, and want to hear what's going on behind me!
If anyone has a way to enhance/fix rear sounds I'd love to hear it.
Coolest tweak in that patch is being able to push boats back into the water. I've grounded the patrol boat too many times (to my teammates' chagrin) on Paracel due to underwater debris and the big waves.

Thanks. I was on the test range today and didn't even think to give it a try.Well, I gave it a try, and as far as I can tell, it doesn't work. Grounded a jet ski, tried to push it back in, and no option showed on screen to do so. Looked through key mapping options and didn't see anything for "Push boat" or something to that effect, but perhaps I missed it.
Anyone figure this one out?

I actually play this game now for the entertainment factor of the bugs.
My new favs from yesterdays patch are I had a squad mate who was invisible to me except his tags for 5 minutes while everyone else could see him just fine the whole time. At the same time any enemy that was spotted I could see their tags through walls too as long as they were spotted.
I also liked being killed by a guy with a rifle and then it saying he killed me with a tank round.
Couple of times I was stuck in place and couldn't move at all.
Frame rates in resort bombed out a few times.
Also sunk a handful of RPG's into a vehicle that was not running active protection and I while there was an explosion there was no hit markers. Had the same thing happen with a person too, direct hit with an RPG and the rocket just disappeared into him.
On the other end I flat out do not see anything fixed. All I see is new bugs which of course I am happy with, but for those of you looking for a working game and don't find it funny. Well I feel bad for you guys.
I noticed last night, on a Hardcore server, that the kill screen didn't come up telling you who killed you with what. According to people on the server, Dice did that on purpose.
I'm not sure why they would take that out.
That has to be a bug. Why on earth would they remove that on purpose? It's driving me nuts! I like to know who killed me, with what, and how much damage I did to them before they took me out.
