Japan did not devastate Korea. It brought education to the Korean people and taught them their own language, Korean hangul. If it wasn't for Japan many Koreans would not know the Korean alphabet system, instead relying on Hanja (Chinese characters).

LOLOL

I just KNEW you'd be back. I knew you were just itching everyday to come back and spew your lunacy again.

What happened to 'I'm done with this thread!!!'?

Your lunacy is flaring up again. Korean language was invented in 15th century by the King Sejong, based on Chinese. Between 1910-1945, Japan came in and decided to absolutely eradicate Korean culture and fully assimilate us. They gave Japanese names to Koreans and learning Korean was forbidden in schools (or few bones will be broken). They pillaged and raped our women, and treated us like slaves (also committing horrible human experiments) . Do you deny the holocaust too?

What in the heavens is this kid smoking? How do you have a wife? It's okay if you dislike Korea. But how on earth do you carry such delusion?

Please proceed to man up to your own words and get out of this thread please.

[edit] Here you go:
Personal vendetta? Don't flatter yourself. Not sure what the fuck you're talking about. I thought this was a serious thread but it's just you trying to get some attention. I'm out of here.

So Japan taught Koreans Korean, and before Japan Koreans didn't know their own language? I'm really not familiar with history in Asia at all, but that doesn't sound right.

Well, since it's called "The South China Sea", it must belong to China, right? Right?
SOUTH China. Them damn carpet-bagging Yankee Chinese best keep they asses out.

there is no "whoosh" emoticon or image large enough to describe the whooshiness contained in this response.
:D
LOL Indeed, and kudos for him admitting it. The second part of his response was spot-on though.

You know how I know you're asleep, and a puppet?

Guess what, it is Wednesday night in Korea and NOTHING FUCKING HAPPENED. Wake up people, I'm not the crazy one, I'm just paying attention.
Hah! Stupid Americans totally fooled by super-advanced Marxist stealth missile! Next one headed for D.C. loaded with unobtanium 298 nuclear atomic bomb thingy, for which only the advanced unicorn-riding greatest ever commander knows the ancient Korean recipe. The only way to avert total humiliating destruction is to immediately send massive tribute shipments of gold, XBoxes and food.

Um, send food first. Then send gold and XBoxes. Or you all die!

We had a similar nut locally who claimed that before the white man came, the Indians didn't have a language. Somebody's always gotta go there, and it's never pretty.

Would you have preferred that Russia took the whole thing? If so, do you think we should have done the same in Germany?

How about we left well enough alone, and let the people rebuild their own nation?
Look what good it did East Germany and Eastern Europe. Piece of crap until the Soviets left and capitalism took root.
When did communism work out well without capitalism pushing it along.

Everyone would like a single Korea; the problem is that in doing so could expose China/Russia to a non communist government or destroy the economic level of South Korea.

And?

So what if a communist nation is parked next to a republic,, or something else?

Part of the reason why Korea is in its current state is due to Stalin and his Russian imperialism.

Exactly - All of Korea could have been like South Korea if the Soviets had not forced communism down the throats of North Korea.

A unified Korea can flank both China and Russia.
however, South Korea does not want to be under communist influence.

So you end up with a communist controlled destroyed country or a unified country that can grow under capitalism.

Well, you guys need to spend a little time on forums from People Daily, Xinhua, The Diplomat, etc. and you would be amazed at some of the things that Chinese posters said. I could not believe the ignorant/arrogant from them when I first saw it.

Here is a little sample from them:

"No one died at Tiananmen Square"

" As China resurges again, these neighbors of China will again invite China to guide them again"

"US F22 planes are made by China"

"China does not need to conquer anybody. Its overpowering glory is enough to overawe them and inspire them to submit."

"China had never set out to "conquer" anybody. All the countries you mentioned submitted to China's rule out of respect and admiration."

Oh, I agree completely. A decade or so ago I spent a lot of time on all those sites - China, Iran, Pakistan, Russia. They have lots of people who are convinced not only that their nation can do no wrong, but that every atrocity committed was actually a great humanitarian gesture. I've seen people insist that the people of Tibet begged China to come in and guide them, that only the Soviet Union fought against Hitler when he invaded Poland, that all Western civilization's progress was stolen from the great library in Alexandria.

Sometimes I wonder if similar sites pop up when, say, Chinese people look for newspapers or web sites in America. Do they get the nut jobs who insist that the Europeans did the Native Americans a favor by virtually wiping them out and teaching the remainder the white man's mysterious ways? Although probably not. Our nut jobs tend to speak only English.

No, Korea had the Korean language but many Koreans were not familiar with it. It was not widespread despite being 400 years old when Japan came to Korea. The Japanese did the same thing they did in Taiwan, they educated and civilized the natives. Recently, there was a Korean man who was in his 70s or 80s who had just learned the Korean language Hangul. Before then he only knew Hanja. There is nothing to be ashamed of in admitting that Japan civilized Korea while the Chinese did not. This is common knowledge.

[edit] Here you go:

I could not let that lie go. Japan did not "devastate" Korea. It brought enlightenment. If Japan did such a bad job why are there so many Koreans in Japan who refuse to emigrate to North or South Korea? And why did North Korea adopt the Japanese sun-god relationship that the people of Japan had with their emperor for their own dictator-people? Why does S. Korea follow Japan development-wise? If it was not for Japan, you guys would still be mostly writing in CHinese characters.

Zeze, Japan and S. Korea may not agree on much, but don't let your insecurity blind you from the fact that Japan sought to educate Korea whereas the Chinese only sought tutelage and a vassal state.

You have lost it. I provided an independent source. You source a Japanese blog. So this is how people get brainwashed.

How can you be so blind? The Japanese had nothing of interest but to absolutely eradicate Korea as the 'protectorate' state. They committed atrocious things and repressed the Koreans into unspeakable state. This isn't some blind opinion because I am of Korean heritage.

You are out of your mind. I am wasting my keystrokes on a lunatic.

Who the fuck are you calling a nut? If you don't know what the fuck we're talking about why don't you close your mouth and stay silent until all the facts are laid out instead of making bold claims statements that you cannot back up.

Wikipedia can be edited by anyone. The fact is Japan did not rape and pillage as your ilk would like to believe. They did to you what they did to the Taiwanese. They civilized your people. The Taiwanese were grateful. Why can't you be? Facts are facts. Hangul was invented but it was not spread widely and was instead ridiculed. When the Japanese came they spread the Korean language amongst the Korean people. Just accept this. Don't be so insecure. I am not Japanese but I obviously know more about your people's history than you:biggrin:

Despite Hangul being created by Koreans, it was derided as being vulgar and relegated to the lower classes, women, and children. The educated class stayed with Chinese characters. When Japan came they started teaching everyone Hangul. Something similar happened in Japan where hiragana was originally for women children and the lower classes. Over time it became popularized and became an official part of the Japanese language, along with Kanji (CHinese characters). No shame in that. Don't act so insecure, Zeze.

It's official Dari is batshit insane.

Denying Japanese war crimes? It's been documented throughout Asia AND the West (mostly Dutch and Spanish missionaries).

I am the idiot for leveling with a fool like you. How does someone like you operate in this world?

Call me whatever you want but your insecurity is really showing. Denying history is truly shameful. Fact is, Japan did not "devastate" Korea. It's sad that people have to lie in order to play victim and feel good about themselves. Japanese rule in Korea may not have been perfect, but it wasn't as if Korea did not benefit...

Dari has often denied Japan's atrocities. Nothing new.

And yes, he's batshit crazy.

Oh, a white Japanophile. :D I heard a lot of those people.

Japan or Korea aside, it's really scary how someone can take such an extreme stance on any political issues of the world, to the point of denying facts. It shows the character's lack of sound judgement and prone to blind propaganda.

Funny how you mention blind propaganda. You are the product of it. Whether or not you want to believe Japan spread your language in your country is up to you. I won't lose any sleep over it and neither will anyone else. But it's truly sad. I would not consider myself a "Japanophile". It's just that it's not difficult to understand a soldier's POV when you have meat bags running around accusing you of all types of things. I've seen how propaganda can soil a person's reputation by calling them "rapists" or "child killers" or murderers, being shot at while trying to help the fuckers. It's all the same everywhere. Then these lies turn to myths that can never be challenged.
