If nothing else this is a good insight into the pure rage that conservatives feel about losing the past few elections. It's not just a case of them thinking that liberals are naive, misguided, or undertaking destructive policies, it's a desire to see liberals PUNISHED for having what he perceives to be the wrong political ideology. He wants them to suffer so that they can all acknowledge how right he was.

The sheer hatred and anger that comes foaming out of that article really is informative, too bad it's also scary, creepy, and sad.

Did you see werepossoms post in another thread where he said liberals move to conservative areas to change them to liberal areas? Crazy indeed!

My guess is that most of these type of thinkers suffer from some sort of mental disorder, most likely schizophrenia. We definitely have a mental health issue in this country, even if we were to come up with a solution the question would be: would the mentally ill seek treatment? If they won't then how will the problem ever be fixed.

I understand the sentiment. We've all been part of group discussions where we feel we have a cogent point to make, but our suggestion is ignored. If it happens once, we move on. A couple times, we start to get a bit upset. And as soon as things go wrong, we're quick to chime in "you should've listened to ME!" Everyone wants to feel like they have something worthwhile to contribute, and when we're ignored, we get bitter. This man is bitter that people haven't been paying more attention to him. And now things are bad and he can stand on his soapbox and be bitter and loud and say "I TOLD YOU SO." It's his way of coping with the frustration he feels over being ignored for so long. It's not productive to the conversation, it's just a chance for him to feel some personal catharsis.

Supporters of all failed ideologies in history had to pay for their choices. Many of them paid with their lives.

I personally don't want left-authoritarians punished for what they believe in. You can believe in anything you want. I want them to suffer for promoting and voting for a government that steals, murders, bribes and spies on everyone then preaching sanctimoniously about how it's all for the "common good".

Apparently he hasn't been paying attention to Conservative Rhetoric for the last few years. We have:

1. No abortion... because God.
2. No gay marriage... because God.
3. Creationsim "Intelligent Design" in classrooms... because God an intelligent being who created us because it couldn't have happened any other way because we say so and it's a scientific theory... God.
4. No Global Warming... because oil (also God).

We're voting Democrat (and I speak as someone born in 1987) on the whole because the "indoctrination chambers" have indoctrinated us with this wonderful thing called "separation of church and state", and your social policies remind us of racist, fire-and-brimstone bullshit from our crazy grandparents that we laugh about behind their backs at family reunions.

If you Conservatives could manage to drag your flabby, wrinkly white Christian asses into the 21st century you might realize how stupid you look; and compared to Democrats that's saying something. I know plenty of people my age who are disgusted that they voted for Obama. They feel betrayed, lied to. And what do you offer them? That same betrayal and lies with social recidivism and a healthy heaping of God on top.

And you wonder why we don't vote for you.

The irony is Conservative positions on a lot of issues actually have broad support, but the Conservatives are too stupid and too stubborn to make those the core platform, instead focusing on bullshit social issues that do nothing but alienate anyone who wasn't brought up in the bible belt.

Whoa!! I've never agreed with you so much!

I imagine plenty of the ultra conservatives who read sites like townhall.com get some catharsis from it too. They can also rage about how the people opposing them in recent elections are going to pay and be punished for defeating them.

Generally I'm a big fan of people venting, I think it can be healthy. My brother is the counterpart on the liberal side though and I see it as a poison that eats away at people. They are so angry with the other side, so intent on defeating them that they forgot what the point of our government is to begin with. He could just as easily been that author after 2004.

The more I think about it people like the author and the OP (who claims to think that author sums it up well) probably deserve our pity more than our scorn.

I don't understand why he has so much vitriol. We're giving him benefits out of the kindness of our hearts, and he's calling us names? Maybe you shouldn't have placed so much emphasis on the value of sharing when you were raising us you senile old bandicoot.

'I don't want them punished, I just want them to suffer.'

Social Security has been in place for 70 years and no major candidate for political office has ever campaigned on substantial changes to it.

I'm assuming you're young. Plenty of past Presidential candidates have campaigned on SS reform. This is why Democrats have used it for so many years as a scare tactic.

BTW: Another benefit the elderly get is Medicare.

Shrug. I thought the rant was pretty humorous. (I only read the part the OP pasted.)

Actually I want both. As in, not punished for thoughtcrimes, but punished for voting for a murder-theft regime.

Oh look another Anarchist/Nostateofmind/Incorruptable/Nehalem poster, can we soon look forward to your rants about the statists?

You would think that he'd want to be nicer to the people who are apparently running a murder and theft regime.

I'm always surprised that the enlightened individuals who view our government as a nefarious criminal operation never stop to wonder why that murdering cabal allows them to rave about it on the internet with such impunity.

I'm going to share something with you, and I mean this in the nicest way possible:

You are a fucking wacko.

That is all. Enjoy the rest of your day.

They're too busy with members of the media ATM; they'll get to him later.

Otherwise, I'd say the NSA is getting a pretty head start on it.

BTW: Didn't Homeland Security already issue guidelines classifying these types as "domestic terrorists?

Dear millenial voters - don't forget, it's about time for people to demand that senior citizens get a new driver's test, eye exam, etc., every couple of years if they want to keep their driver's licenses.

Because I'm a Republican for disliking Democrats? How childish.

Lol, no.

But it's apparent you put your party before your country.

Btw, how are abortion rights restrictions, women's health care restrictions, voting restrictions working out for your party?

On the flip side, how are deregulating industries, keeping donors anonymous, and increasing corporate rights, increasing local fire power with old military equipment, working out for your party?

When can we expect the republican party to bring up legislature to repeal the patriot act? Or curb the NSA's and other agencies power?

As for DHS, not really.

They issue reports on things to look out for all the time. Yes, they made a report on the risks of right wing extremism but then again a few months before that they made a report on the risks of left wing extremism.

Funny that, I worked on the Nehalem CPU. But no, I have better things to do than to start new threads to bait government supremacists.

Because the cost/benefit for killing dissidents has not reached the point where it is worthwhile. Even the Chinese government has stopped executing dissidents, but there is no denying that they are a murder-theft regime. The US government simply loses tax revenue in return for some outrage if they went around killing people for thoughtcrimes.

The murder part of murder-theft currently applies mainly to foreigners who defy the petrodollar system.

In other words extreme whack jobs on the fringe are a risk regardless of political affiliation. Just like extreme whack jobs on the fringe religiously can be potential threats.
