I kno rite? Damn those Texan's and their prosperous land. Why don't they make like other states and live in denial while racking up state debt?
 
I heard it one time, something along the lines of "America needs Texas, not the other way 'round."

That said, the bastards certainly do not have any intrinsic right to secede.

Yes we do.
 
Texas is one of 23 states in the U.S. where the two mosquitoes capable of carrying Chikungunya can survive. In northern states, cold climates kill them off.

Where do you get that idea? I've been all over the state and have lived here my entire life. Texas is no more polluted than any other state I've visited and in fact is kept up better than the other states I've been to.

There are pockets of pollution around the large cities (Houston and Dallas, mostly), but compared to other states, it doesn't have a lot of pollution. It helps there are vast stretches of open land. Get a few hours outside of a city and it is beautiful.
 
Come to New Jersey! The best boardwalk and beaches in America.
