Seriously. If this guy would just move to Alabama to be with his people, we'd all be better off. He doesn't belong in a more advanced state like NY
So you have a problem if SCOTUS says it's a right and i follow the law in order to carry a gun legally in say state like CA or NY?

Although I believe in 2A as it is written, just as the founders intended, I do have concerns about mentally ill persons obtaining and using firearms to harm others.

Though there could be issues with mentally ill people using a gun to harm others, statistically speaking, mentally ill are more likely to be victims than perpetrators. Mental illness is also not the root of all gun violence. Plenty of non-mentally ill people running around perfectly happy with using violence on others.

How do you define mentally ill? I hope you under stand there is a BIG difference between medicated in compliance patients and not. There is zero way to track to the difference. And the emotionally ill spectrum is large, and covers a large swath.

That said , most states DO run a mental health background on gun sales.
