I wonder if you requested a local law enforcement officer to be present, and upon your junk being touched, tell the officer that your penis/testicles are being touched against your will, what he/she would do?

"officer I'm being sexually assaulted here against my will, I asked this person not to touch my sexual organs. What are you going to do about it?"

heh

The incident itself started when Tyner, 31, was directed toward the full-body scanner in the security line. Tyner refused, opting instead for the traditional metal body scan and a pat-down. When he was told that the TSA agent would have to conduct a kind of "groin check." Tyner balked, saying, "You touch my junk and I'm going to have you arrested."

Great idea! Now, how do the airlines manage to stay in business when they don't fly into half the airports in the United States?

The Government buckles and dials back the security. Why is it everyone thinks that the .gov holds all of the cards? Or is your argument that the government will simply allow airline travel to become non-existent in the US?

You're presuming that there is a linear system with a progression that has an endpoint valuable enough to me for me to enter that system in that position. An endpoint of, "Your travel safety," (with a semi-generic "your") that can be modified by simply not letting you (specifically) fly just doesn't cut it.

Now if we were in a situation where we had work parties doing work absolutely essential to the baseline continued survival of the human race, with a related condition which necessitated oral examinations of their personal space, and I got Rukia out of the deal...

Sure, I can live with all of humanity hinging on my performance of simple examinations. That's not exactly out if line with my God complex.

Lets cut the horseshit.

TSA has NOT made us safer. Terrorists have successfully gotten bombs on board airliners and for the most part their incompetence is the only reason they were not successful. The passengers helped in a few instances but if the device had worked as it was supposed to I doubt they would have had time.

TSA is a joke and the sheeple allow them to get away with being a joke while they (the sheeple) are subjected to more and more invasive searches. We are give up freedom because we are afraid. You do realize that means the terrorists were absolutely successful in terrorizing us, right?

Hell, Gizmodo has a story, including pictures, of the TSA having a pedo-bear screensaver at an airport checkpoint. You just can't make this shit up.

I sooooo hope they "bring that case" but one must ponder how many similar situations have their been without a running camera of some sort.

And why in fucking fuckity hell would they want him to go back to screening in order to LEAVE the airport? Aren't they concerned with keeping the passengers and planes safe? If he DID have a bomb, wouldn't bringing him back into the mass of people that is modern airport screening be a sorta bad idea? Lastly, and most importantly, how the fuck can they bring a civil suit against you for refusing their absurdity and voluntarily leaving the airport????

Let us know from prison how this move works out for you! Big talk...

I can tell you right now that I will not allow my 9 year old daughter to be subjected to molestation by some $12/hour TSA agent. The actions required to ensure she is not subjected to that are completely up to the agent and if the consequence of my actions is a ride in the back of a police cruiser than so be it. Fucking with me is one thing, fucking with my kids will not be tolerated. Full stop, end of discussion.

I'd bet that you don't have children do you?

this explains why there was such a push for these scanners

http://www.boston.com/news/nation/w...02/group_slams_chertoff_on_scanner_promotion/

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Chertoff

WASHINGTON - Since the attempted bombing of a US airliner on Christmas Day, former Homeland Security secretary Michael Chertoff has given dozens of media interviews touting the need for the federal government to buy more full-body scanners for airports.

Discuss
COMMENTS (24)
What he has made little mention of is that the Chertoff Group, his security consulting agency, includes a client that manufactures the machines. Chertoff disclosed the relationship on a CNN program Wednesday, in response to a question.

An airport passengers’ rights group on Thursday criticized Chertoff’s use of his former government credentials to advocate for a product that benefits his clients.

“Mr. Chertoff should not be allowed to abuse the trust the public has placed in him as a former public servant to privately gain from the sale of full-body scanners under the pretense that the scanners would have detected this particular type of explosive,’’ said Kate Hanni, founder of FlyersRights.org, which opposes the use of the scanners.

Chertoff’s advocacy for the technology dates to his time in the Bush administration. In 2005, Homeland Security ordered the government’s first batch of the scanners - five from California-based Rapiscan Systems. Rapiscan is one of only two companies that make full-body scanners in accordance with current contract specifications required by the federal government.

Currently 40 body scanners are in use among 19 US airports. The number is expected to skyrocket, at least in part because of the Christmas Day incident. The Transportation Security Administration has said it will order 300 more machines.

In the summer, TSA purchased 150 more machines from Rapiscan with $25 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds. Rapiscan was the only company that qualified for the contract because it had developed technology that performs the screening using a less-graphic body imaging system, which is also less controversial. (Since then, another company, L-3 Communications, has qualified for future contracts, but no new contracts have been awarded.)

TSA has NOT made us safer.

Oh really? You can prove the counterfactual?

Go ahead. I'd love to see it, since I know this is one of those things that lay far beyond even my extraordinary abilities.

This should be quite entertaining, especially given your name.

I miss the days of smoky room drunken cross continental flights of the 70s....the stewardesses were all hot...well when your drunk they were anyways....

When we went to Africa I brought back 5 different sets of African native weapons and a shield and hand carried them on the flight back.... two 5 foot long spears and a my wife had a bow and shield..

New rule: you must take off your pants AND underwear and put it in the x-ray machine. As long as everyone does it, nobody feels singled out :)

Now that I think about it, I will have more fun fucking with these mall cops. They expect you to be an asshole and fight them. But what about...

"Just to warn you, I cum really easy, you're gonna have a mess to clean up".

loud moan, roll your eyes back, speak very loudly..."oh touch it baby!"

Perhaps even start to take down your pants and request they "finish the job"...

Ask for their phone number...

How else can we fuck with these nazi's in training?

Had a conversation with somebody the other day that TSA agents are "just doing their job" and "have to feed their families as well". My point of view was that I would rather starve or be a criminal than work in a job that requires me to humiliate other people...

I don't do that - Usually I "Remind" them my number is on the Do Not Call registry, and tell them to remove from their list.

But if you just want to REALLY piss them off: Make them go through their entire schpiel, then tell them "...let me get my credit card..." Then leave the phone on the table and walk away.

Huh? The OP's picture is over a Gen 1 machine. The non-inverted part of the picture I posted came from an OEM's website advertising the greatness of their machines.

Personally, I won't be flying unless absolutely necessary. Even before this, I was always reluctant to fly because of:
- Uncomfortable seats. I'm 6'4" with a big frame. My shoulders and legs don't fit in your typical airline seat space.
- Having to get to the airport so early, even for a domestic flight. You can't check baggage unless you get there 45 minutes before your flight. I've missed a flight by 2 minutes because of traffic and this rule on a work day when I couldn't possibly leave earlier or schedule a later flight. Most places recommend you get there 60-90 minutes early (sometimes up to 2 hours early) for a domestic flight with baggage. This means I have to leave about 3.5 hours before my flight.
- Security screens that clearly miss the mark, since people keep getting weapons/bombs onto planes. If I'm wasting my time and giving up my privacy, it should at least be effective. You've all hear the old Ben Franklin quote about freedom and security. Even worse, we're giving up freedom (of privacy and time) for no real security.
- Ever increasing fees. It's never been especially cheap to fly, but it's only getting worse. I know that airlines have to make money, but you'd think they could cut costs with a reduced TSA.
- Carry on item limitations. Rough baggage handling caused my toiletry bottles to explode on my honeymoon flight. Red body wash all over clothes.
- Other passengers. It seems like a lot of people don't know how to act in public. This is exacerbated by close quarters.

So put all of this together, and I already didn't enjoy flying. I really only flew if work made me or if I couldn't drive there in a day. Now we have 2 equally unpalatable options.
- Full body scan. I know that the radiation is claimed safe for the general passenger. They could be wrong or you could be in some small percentile of people that it will affect. If you're a very frequent flier or a pilot, you might even go over the safe yearly limit. I've heard 1000 scans, but my guess is that doesn't take into account all of the other ionizing radiation sources you encounter in a typical year. Next you have the privacy issues. I would assume that most people are fairly modest and wouldn't completely disrobe in a private room for a random person that told them they had to. Some argue that the data is anonymous or that the pictures won't be stored. We've already seen news reports of both of those claims being disproved. You also have the issue of minors being scanned. How long do you think it'll be until some of these anonymous, non-stored images show up on the internet?
- Enhanced patdown. I don't know that I need to explain this. From what I've read, this isn't your standard patdown where they lightly run their hands across your arms, legs, and torso. Personally, I will not be comfortable with someone touching me in the ways I've read. Then you've got children who have to go through this as well.

So what does this mean? I won't be flying anywhere. It's actually faster for me to drive anywhere within probably 8 hours or so, given the need to leave 3+ hours before my flight and then deal with baggage and a rental car at my destination. For destinations over 8 hours, I'll either skip that trip or make it a road trip with an overnight stop or two. I'll gladly trade my time for comfort and privacy, and I'll probably enjoy the things I see during the drive much more than the flight.

well technically groping someone is a crime. If anyone does what they are doing they would be arrested and placed on the sex offenders list

TSA says children 12 and under get a pass. But searching kids ridiculous to begin with at any age.

Ahhhh Net Jets, if your policy on canines and firearms wasn't enough to make me a fan, the driving of the car right up to the plane is, now, quite the deal closer.

The wife will be flying commercial soon using some free tickets - should I inform her of these new developments, or will it be more fun to let her find out on her own? ;)
