I must admit that the 4th episode was not worse than the 3rd. Marginally better, but still in the ungulate-feces family. Perhaps pony instead of horse. Bad enough that the 5th episode needs to be very good for us to not kill the season pass.

I also don't understand the hate, I'm beginning to like the show quite a bit and it seems that next episode, we'll learn more about the Sixers and what the colony is all about.
 
Sadly, I think the show is going to start to get interesting now. I hope they didn't loose to many people.

Seems like the 6ers will become more relevant and a few more questions could be answered.

Questions:
What are the 6ers mission?
How do the 6ers communicate with 2154 or whatever year it is in the future?
What is Tera Nova's real mission?
What is the writing on the rocks?
 
This show is a fucking disgrace. It's like Glee in early 90's SciFi with dinosaurs thrown in for a good measure. Really, I thought no one seriously produces such shit when you have stuff like Games Of Thrones to compare to. I was just commenting how high of a standard many modern TV shows set, with great casts, scripts and shooting. This show, somehow, manages to take us 20 years backwards on any such aspect. Even my wife, who does 3D animation for a living, commented on the peculiarity of the effects. It fails on every aspect - from story, to filming, to effects to cast. The scenery is about as sophisticated as early Star Trek.

Spielberg or no fucking Spielberg, this thing will be dead by the end of the season, unless they portal in some Mexican gangs and have drivebys, or the dinosaurs start plotting among themselves, I'm done with this shit.
 
I had really high hopes for this show, but after getting half way through the 2nd episode I had enough. It feels like a corny Disney family movie. I'm sure Fox is kicking themselves now for ordering an entire season instead of just a pilot.
 
I'm on the bandwagon with those who say the show sucks. I didnt even make it through the last episode.
 
If you're gonna show some flashy new sci-fi series for 1 season, it needs to be more like Firefly and less like Terra Nova.
 
In don't get all the hate. It's not that bad. Hopefully they reveal some of the mysteries before the show gets canceled though.

The show reminds me so much of shows like The Cape and No Ordinary Family and Heroes towards the end. It has that whole 'lets make an action packed series with dinosaurs but everyone lives happily ever after ' feel to it. Where even the bad guys aren't really bad and can't we just all get along.

a much more interesting series that was done along these same plot lines is Earth2, released by NBC . It didn't get renewed but it had a much more interesting premise of how the planet they decided to colonize was actually a living planet. They also had criminals as part of the colonist that had been reformed by erasing parts of their brains. It is on netflix if anyone is interested.

Not the greatest show, but kind of entertaining.

The only thing that bothers me about it is it seems more like a romantic drama with sci-fi thrown in than a sci-fi show. You've got three love stories with one, possibly two separate love triangles going on with one frigging family. Of course because of this, my wife loves the show.

Thanks for the laugh. That was funny. Jury is still out w/ me. Will give it a few more shows. I agree it's oddly cheesy for producers with high accolades.
 
This episode just shows women are evil like we all know. 😛

I did find the "courting" comment to the father and his response entertaining yet him going to the girl to talk about it more annoying then anything.

So now we have a mystery box to guess over.

They did try to open it but found no way to do so and probably don't want to bash on it and ruin whatever is inside.

Thought about the x-ray also but who knows.
 
so I'm reading this show is getting the axe after ep 13. Budget reasons (who didn't know that was coming?)...
