So wait... they can run dna in a outpost like this in under 10 minutes but can't run the dna in the future when a body was found with the hands and I think the head mutilated?

Hell we can do this even now and certainly they have a decent database of people to compare the dna to.

Lol, so you fear of being ambushed and then you leave the vehicle doors to be opened from the outside while you travel. 😛

They don't have locks in the future. 😉

Otherwise, really good episode. They finally explained everything.

I stopped watching and have the same question now. They actually skipped the standard filler episode?

They've been doing the classic 95% "filler", 5% main series story for essentially every episode post-pilot.

Last night's was a good episode, it did finally explain everything, so ya... Will continue watching, just hope Fox doesn't pull it.

I agree with the above posts, last nights episode was the type of episode I'd been waiting for ever since episode 1. Explained a lot and didn't have a load of cheesy filler crap. Hope they can keep that type of pace up for the rest of the season.

can someone who watched tell me about last nights epsiode? Especialyl
the dark truth about the leadership of 2149's real plan for Terra Nova.
I jsut don't care to watch it anymore. Curious of what is going on in cliff note form though.

Here you go, bunches of spoilers for Ep.9 "Vs":

Boylan has been imprisoned for his Sixer connections, and while drugged, reveals to Jim that something is buried under a certain tree. Jim digs it up and finds a skeleton, which his wife analyzes. Eventually they figure out that the body is Commander Taylor's superior officer, which he apparently killed. Taylor has Jim falsely imprisoned and Jim confronts Taylor about the murder. Taylor reveals that according to the higher-ups, the colonization plan for Terra Nova is only a sham and they want to squeeze the planet for fresh resources to enrich themselves in 2149. His commanding officer tried to force him to step down so that they could carry out this plan and Taylor ended up shooting him instead. In addition, Taylor's son Lucas was working with those people to fix the problem of the time portal being only one-way, so that they can ship resources back from Terra Nova. That is why Taylor banished Lucas from the colony.

Also, the Sixers were sent by the corporations behind Terra Nova to take Taylor out, and so are working for them. Taylor's son was working for them from the start since he came in on the second(?) pilgrimage. The Commander pulled a gun on Taylor first, and he came in between the second and third pilgrimages.

So the entire show is driven by the premiss that parents will do anything for their children and the morality that goes along with that.

Ya, it is Sci Sucks. That's why I stopped watching. So much promise ended in so much disappointment. Why these Hollywood a-holes hink they need 20% of the market for any time slot is beyond me. What is wrong with a loyal 1%?

Anyway, I appreciate he updates and knowing what happens but I could care less to watch the show at this point. 2 minutes reading the epsiode summaries at Wikipeida is enough.

"couldn't care less"

I quite enjoyed it. Worried about the implications of what they found in the Badlands.

I'm guessing if ship hulls were found in the badlands, then that means there is another way for people to get items to and from the planet. However why the people back in 2149 would be interested in ship hulls is beyond me 😕

I'm thinking that there are multiple fractures to multiple points in time. Something along those lines.
