I think you mean "Sex outside of marriage is bad". Please be accurate in your demonizations of Republicans.

But why is sex outside of marriage bad. My wife and I had sex before we were married and I can guarantee it was not bad in any way shape or form; or position for that matter.

It's not just the idea that's the problem, although I definitely agree with you. The real issue is that this belief results in a lack of proper sex education for teens who are going to figure things out on their own, which is going to produce much worse results.

Yeah, I'm sure some people would be very happy if people didn't have sex until they were 25. But since that's not going to happen, ever, it's probably smart to make sure when teenagers DO have sex, they're doing it safely.

This. +1

You obviously have no idea what this law is about at all. It is apparent you only read the thread title and nothing else.
The truly apparent thing is how republicans go screaming about big government and how it's ruining america, except on issues that either concern terrorism or the bedroom.

Then nothing can be too authoritarian.

Take away my guns? No way you evil big brother gubmint! Gay people having sex in the privacy of their own home? No you can't do that you goddamned sodomites! Prosecute! Prosecute!! Prosecute!!!

Oh the hypocrisy...

LOL!

You people are surly limited in your thinking.

I like this "no touching" law. It will really screw with the TSA in Tennessee. That is always a good thing.

TSA: Totally Stupid Asses

Because many will refuse to get abortions if they get pregnant.

Check the poverty numbers for single-mothers vs married couples. Its not pretty.

Then don't get pregnant out of wedlock.

If you do, please don't have an abortion. If you can't be responsible for your actions, put the child up for adoption.

Personally, I think it is in response to the one school district teaching masteurbation in kindergarden.

You know the solution to that?

A law to say no teaching sex ed until a certain grade. Case closed. When legislatures make things more complicated than they really are we need to slap them down.

But my wife didn't become pregnant. Probably because of having safe sex. Hey, maybe educating students about safe sex actually works!

Who'd have thunk it??!

When I first read the title of this thread I thought the law was for the young guys who walk around in public holding their junk all the time to keep their pants up or whatever.

Apparently you are not very well educated, because if you were you would realize that birth control has failure rates.

Yes it does, although the rates are low. Speaking only from my own experiences, practicing safe sex worked well for ~30 years; through several girlfriends and my wife, who is now past menopause so we can do without most precautions. Never received or passed on any STD's and never caused pregnancy.

Unfortunately for you however, no matter what laws are signed, no matter what isn't taught to pre-teens and teens; young people will still be having gateway sexual activity, possibly causing pregnancies and even passing on STD's, even though they could have been taught how to mitigate the risks of both.

Sadly their parents, teachers and ministers will have told them to practice abstinence instead of giving them useful knowledge; or will have told them not to touch themselves or each other in certain bodily areas. Because we all know what happens when you tell a child or teen not to do something.

Really? How so?

I have no fear of homosexuals or homosexuality so pray tell what is this phobia you claim I have.

Sorry, I thought the angel emoticon would show I was not being serious. I was pulling a liberal on you and calling you an xxxphobe for no logical reason at all.

How would you define gateway sexual activity?

You were doing so good until this point. You are claiming the left-wing does not routinely put vague nonsense into bills with this statement, and that obviously does not match reality.

You asked what the objection was to this bill. You were told the objection. Now you're evading. What a surprise.

Oh. My bad. I figured since you seem so wrapped up in yourself in most of your replies/posts that were referring to yourself as an angel.

Maybe you should try the classic "/sarcasm" reply ending.

Mostly for the reason you put below, due to their age.

Most boys begin masturbating by age 11 or 12. A smaller percentage of girls masturbate, but they also mostly begin at 11 or 12. Most children masturbate without receiving any instruction. Because it's completely natural and it feels so good.

In fact, the ONLY bad consequence of masturbation is the psychological damage right-wing puritans cause by teaching their children that masturbation is a sin. By making their children feel ashamed of their completely natural sexual urges.

So, do you think that teaching 11-year-olds that masturbation is completely normal and healthy is wrong?

Dear Tennessee,

You fucktards voted these people into your government. I hope you enjoy them. Idiots.

Dear Tennessee government,

The book "1984" was meant as a warning. Not an instruction manual.

I'm not sure about that.

I remember thinking when I was six that my penis was a wonderful thing and that it was a shame that all I could do was pee with it.

Then my cousin showed me what else could be done with it and I became very well-adjusted.

Eleven is much too late in my opinion.

If a non-teacher were to show kids how to mateurbate, that person would be brought up on charges. I see no reason for any teacher to teach kids to masteurbate.

However, I never understood why so many say masteurbation is wrong. Sure, it CAN be wrong, depending on the motivation and where you are doing it, but it in and of itself is not wrong.

Teaching that it is OK to masteurbate is fine, teaching how to do it is wrong.
