Well, LA does have a giant, giant dance community. Not sure if they do THAT kind of dancing though lol

I flat out cant see him doing something like that.

I think its hilarious, I remember when he posted that 150 bench thing back in the day. In that period of time, I went from being able to bench like 160 easily to barely being able to do like 90 back up to around 160 again.

That's what grad school does to you.

Just checked in on this thread and saw your budget. If you have a roommate even west la a 2 bedroom place is like 1250 to 1350 like in palms or Culver city. Probably not going to be the nicest spot but you won't be afraid of being killed outside or anything. I still live in the area and used to live in a place that was 1280 for 2 in 2007

The new light rail / subway just opened this month in this area. In 3 more years it supposedly will go to the beach. Goes east to union station downtown now...

It has lots of unique places to eat, things to do, and a handful of major theme parks near and surround. And beaches.

The BIG problem is, there is no good way or fun way or even hassle free way (and will have you scream every time you think about going anywhere) is the TRAFFIC and horrible transportation infrastructure that is the LA area and surrounding areas.

From bicyclers who ignore road rules, to standstill traffic on interstates, to inefficient traffic lights encountered on every awkward intersection... It is a good place for lots of things. Getting to them and parking however...

L.A. will chew you up and spit you out. I can't think of a worse person on this forum to live there.

I personally wouldn't recommend anyone live there though. It's a giant douche city and the only reason any of us lived/live there was to make a boat load of money. The people are all turd sandwiches and it's key you get out before it's irreversible.

You wont realize you are in a brown cloud all the time until you come down south from the grapevine. Fucking nasty city.

Its not nearly that bad anymore. In the 80s and 90s it was way way worse. I remember as a kid playing basketball outside and uncontrollably coughing on the bad smog days. Its no where near as bad these days. But yeah not exactly the best air in the country

With the incredibly high cost of living you're wrong. I make a lot more than my family in Texas, but they live for a fraction of what I do. So it's basically like I make less than them. People live here for the weather, I'd rather be homeless in California than have a nice house in any other state. I can't wait for the summer to hit. I also live here for Tommy's World Famous Chili Burgers & In-N-Out. I couldn't live in a state that didn't have both of those.

That is nonsense. I've met plenty of good honest people in the years I lived there including my wife.

Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of shit sandwiches, but to say everyone is one is nonsense.

When I first moved to California I HATED LA. Now I don't mind it as much, it is just like every other big city I've lived in or been to, but bigger.
I still don't like driving through the downtown area on the freeways, man what a tangled mess that is.

I highly doubt that.

LA will chew you up and spit you out. It's also gang capital of US. Just yesterday I had a brief encounter with a gang member and thought something bad might happen. Laugh now but you will see if you really lived in LA.
