Technology in 10000 years time

We did keep evolving in the show though. There were millions of other types of humans, some more animal and some more advanced. Lots of aliens too. The dark sky was the end of it all though and that's why we would need to build past space/time eventually because the universe will go out.
Oh. That sounds more like it should have actually said "human".

As in, "not really human, but something that descended from us."

Either way, I know the Stargate and Star Trek timelines, not Doctor Who. 😛

That's kind of a dim view of things.

"Sorry folks, this is as good as it gets."

If humans are the apex of biological evolution........Universe, you need to set your standards a little bit higher.

Crocodiles have a better track record than we do thus far. That form factor has been quite durable, though I'm guessing that they don't have any evolved response for surviving the death of a planet's parent star. (And at this point in time, neither do we.)
Well, our medical tech is getting good enough that we can fix/cure a lot of things that used to "thin the heard". We're figuring out how to get around the survival of the fittest part of nature, so it's possible our evolution will slow because of it.

While it's impossible to predict with any accuracy, I'll play the game:

The most easiest to predict IMO is regarding health and genetics. I think all diseases will be curable. Aging can be stopped or reversed(which is kind of a terrifying idea if we're all still in one planet). You can select genetic traits like in Gattaca. Anyone can install cybernetic implants to enhance/aid basic functions such as ocular implants, call it Google eyeball(could let you record what you see, can see a broader light wavelength, etc), or a chip in the brain that allows you to perform daily things with just thought like shopping online or placing a phonecall.

On space frontier, it's much harder to predict what with the limitation of C. Things like terraforming and FTL travel in what we see in todays sci-fi still feels too unrealistic a possibility. My only guess is that energy is no longer an issue and easily produced efficiently.

Edit: oh and ATOT will still be around... in a museum... with an AI that will simulate daily postings and replies in real time for people to lol at.
