Nobody actually watched those games, they watched what ESPN showed after the game - who were notorious for showing all of the terrible plays he made instead of the good ones. For some reason, the sports world had a vendetta against him. Even after he beat Pittsburgh they refused to acknowledge how great he played, and layed it up to Ryan Clark being out due to his illness where somehow only playing at 5280 affects him.

So, do you think if the Broncos kept Tebow and he played safety that the Broncos would have beat the Ravens?

It would have been a different year entirely. We wouldn't have gone 13-3 first of all, we might have clawed into the playoffs again as a wild card and faced them in the first round - but things would have been way too different. Actually I guess we still would have won the division and played one of the wild card teams. Maybe the Colts would have come here.

Bottom line, who cares. Broncos fans don't live in the past, only Tebow fans do. We still have PFM and we're still happy with where we are. Would love to see Rahim "The Dream" fired though. I supported Tebow while he was here and I will always remember the miracle season he took us on, but we've moved on. Clearly haven't moved on from the worst defensive play in Broncos history though, at least I haven't. Maybe by pre-season.

Tebow to the Pats. Great, 2 entities I can't stand are now aligned for me to root against even more.

I'm guessing Bill has decided that he doesn't want Gronk blocking on XPs and Tebow should be able to do that.

Good indicator that Tebow has given up on being a QB.

Huh? go to ESPN, he's on his way to Foxborough to sign a contract with the Patriots tomorrow..

I think you missed a joke. In the NFL St. Louis is the Rams and the Cardinals are Arizona. Going to the St. Louis Cardinals would have him playing baseball.

I never understood all the animosity towards Tebow. I know the media follows him around wherever he goes but that's not his fault, that's the fault of ESPN. He's certainly not the most accurate passer (probably better than Sanchez still :p) but he's 7-4 as a starter with one playoff win. The Jets signing him and never using him was completely retarded and reflected really bad with everyone running the Jets organization. But what exactly did he ever do wrong? Seems like a nice fellow. I know he's a bible thumper but I've honestly never heard him talk about his faith publicly, so he certainly doesn't bring it up a lot. He points to the sky after a good play but 80% of NFL players do that too. He just seems like a nice guy and a winner to me.

Speaking of which, HEY ESPN, Please don't cover Tebow in minicap/practice for the next 3 months every single day. You're ruining Tebow's career and losing massive credibility as a media/journalism company at the same time, it's a lose-lose. Teams didn't want to hire Tebow as a backup or anything because they didn't want the huge media firestorm that followed.

The Jets saw him throw during practice and realized that he couldn't throw better than any of the other QBs. Don't expect him to throw a pass in NE except in the preseason. Heck, in the Boston papers, they're saying he'll make a good scout QB for the defense when they prepare against mobile QBs.

Tebow may end up being a damn good TE. Haven't seen him block much, but with some practice, proper instruction & his physique, that position might suit him well. Hope this works out well for him, even though I'm not a Pats fan.

There are a ton of Tebow haters out there. Hope he proves them wrong.

I think I had a dream earlier this week about Tebow landing with the Patriots. It just makes too much sense. Tebow is big with the media. Wherever he goes, there's going to be talk of playing Tebow over the starting QB but over Tom Brady? No one in their right minds will say that. Also, BB should be able to control the media easily.

I thought the Patriots were the perfect fit. Very happy for Tebow though. He took a lot of crap.

So Tebow will take over for Gronk until he recovers from his back surgery.

wow, never would have guessed on him landing there

I wouldn't say anybody saw this coming, but given McDaniels was the one who wanted the kid in the first place I'm surprised that you're so surprised.

ESPN just jizzed in their pants. Between this & the Miami Heat, no other sports news will be covered on Sportscenter the next few days.

I don't have very high hopes for Tebow as a TE. Not sure where this idea comes from. Just because he's large-ish for a QB doesn't mean he's automatically going to be a great TE. He's actually undersized for the position, being 3 inches shorter and 30 lbs lighter than Gronk, and he's never been a pass-catcher in his career. It's not easy to master. There are all sorts of intricacies to running routes, nailing down the timing, and beating the defensive back, and it's why very few rookie wide receivers and tight ends make an impact - that usually doesn't come until their second year in the league.

Blocking isn't easy either. A lot of rookie RBs get to spend lots of time warming the bench because they haven't demonstrated good blocking skills. Just because blocking isn't a glorified task like passing or receiving doesn't make it any less difficult.

On top of all that, even if Tebow were a TE, he'd be buried on the depth chart. New England has 7 tight ends on their roster, 5 of whom have multiple years of experience with the team, and all of whom are larger than Tebow.

If anything, he would be an okay gadget player who could maybe line up in the backfield alongside a real QB and run option plays where he could either run the ball, pass it, or toss it back to Brady to throw. Or maybe a special teamer, which is often where they stick guys who are still learning how to block.
