How much do you want to bet that the teaparty members and those that voted for them could care less what you and the libhadist friends have to say as well.

I wonder how many of those that suck the government's tit in the red states vote Democratic as that's the party that holds out the government aid carrot to get them to vote???

What would happen if states that didn't pay their own way (like Texas) were denied the vote in federal elections? Why should Southern states be allowed to participate in federal elections when all they do is vote to secure more Northern money for themselves? Now they are going a step further and attempting to destroy the economy of the United States.

Just because the South fucked up their own states, doesn't give them the right to screw up the Norths. Christ the murder rate in Texas is about triple ours and you PRESUME to lecture us on how to run a society?

I wish the South would just secede already. We CERTAINLY dont need nor want them. Let them go back to the stone age where they so desparately want to be.

http://truth-out.org/opinion/item/19546-let-the-dysfunctional-plantation-based-red-states-secede

The activism we see from Tea Party radicals in Washington today is just a modern-day reboot of the same government obstructionist strategies that have been around since the early days of slavery.

From the battles over segregation and discrimination of the 1950’s and 1960’s to the war on voting rights that’s taking place in state capitols all across the nation today, Tea Party-esque strategies and values have repeatedly reared their ugly heads throughout American history.

As Chuck Thompson over at Salon.com points out, the Tea Party strategy of today is the “same old obstructionist strategy that’s been pursued by traitorous Southerners in government since long before Robert E. Lee’s doomed charge at Gettysburg.”

Thompson goes on to say that, “It’s part of the same soiled fabric that stretches from John C. Calhoun and South Carolina’s 1832 Ordinance of Nullification…all the way to the Newt Gingrich-led government shutdown…”

Simply put, the Tea Party represents the 21st century rebirth of angry 19th century white male Confederates who wanted to secede from the United States and start their own dysfunctional country based on a plantation economy.
Maybe we should let them.

So what would an America free of Southern lunacy and Tea Party radicalism look like?

First, the disastrous Citizen’s United Supreme Court decision would be a thing of the past. In a modern, 21st century America, it would be clear that corporations are not people, and that money is not speech.

Similarly, billionaires would no longer be able to buy politicians in a “blue” America, so their mountains of money couldn’t corrupt democracy and the political process.

Next, the destructive policy decisions of the Reagan Revolution would be overturned: The Sherman-Antitrust Act would be enforced and the Reagan tax cuts would be rolled back.

The Fairness Doctrine would be rebooted, so that the media had to actually cover the news instead of programming infotainment to increase profits.

From there, we’d eliminate disastrous trade policies like NAFTA and the WTO, and return to the kind of protectionist tariff-based trade policies that built this country and our middle-class from the George Washington administration until Ronald Reagan began taking them apart.

And, the Medicare eligibility age would be lowered to the moment birth, giving us a national single-payer healthcare system.

When this is accomplished, America will reflect a 21st century version of the ideals and visions of the Founders.

If it takes a secession of “blue” America to achieve all of this, then so be it.

It’s time to let small-minded bigots go back to their plantation-style economies and let them run their states like third-world countries.

Last I checked you wouldn't get to vote as Wisconsin does it's fair share of sucking on the government tit as well.

Yeah, Illinois (Chicagoland) and Michigan (Detroit) are havens of safety and destination resorts. Take your northern shitholes and shove them where they belong.

texas is a donor state. and yanks vote for medicare and social security, which are the big drivers of southern states being on the dole. don't complain about the program you support.

Why are you so racist wanting to nullify the vote of African-Americans?

This thread is about the Tea Party and the clear and present danger they present to the United States of America. Their actions were seditious according to US Law. I think the Koch brothers should be dragged in fetters into a court and charged with sedition. They funded this charade, chop off the head and the body dies. No wiggle room on this, none at all.

In 18 USC § 2384 – Seditious conspiracy, it plainly says; “If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspires to oppose by force the authority of, or prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.”

How do you expect anyone to take you seriously? By your interpretation, any state lawmaker who pushes for legalized marijuana within the state, is guilty of sedition and you want thrown into jail.

Hell, even President Obama himself has chosen not to enforce certain federal immigration laws. Will you argue he should be impeached for it? Sounds like that is the kind of country you are creating.

So full of anger and hatred you are.

The South wanted to and tried to secede once, you Northerners prevented them from doing so. You have only your own ancestors to blame for your present-day anger and hatred.

The title of this thread tells all. Why would Tea Party have to prove they are smarter?

Something is seriously wrong with you. According to liberal idiots the Tea Party was suppose to be dead and gone but yet somehow they are able to threaten the country like this?

The Tea Party wasn't responsible for what happened but obama was.

The fact that you believe that just shows that you are sadly beyond hope. I just continue to pray (metaphorically, I don't actually pray) that you continue to leave your spreading of hate and ignorance to the internet. Then again, I'm fairly sure if you attempted to speak in person to people the way you speak to people on the internet that someone would have put you in the hospital by now.

obama shutdown the government for political reasons and he knew he could get away with it. It was obama that shutdown the WWII memorial because he is a piece of shit. I understand you and your ilk have your heads up obamas ass but he shutdown the government not the Tea Party.

What's wrong with the way I speak? Because I believe in small government and freedom? And it's nice to see liberals advocating for violence. I haven't been attacked because of what I said in person.

When the fvcktards at fox news hijacked the tea party, the fox news agenda of anti science, pro stupidity took grasp.

Tea party is tainted now and will forever be known as the imbecilic phallus of Rupert Murdock.

I'm pretty sure Congress was involved in that whole "shutdown" ordeal...

Yep, congress was indeed involved.

Anyhow, Obama is a dick (fvcking drone strikes and spying have got to stop), but, this "shutdown" is not really something that can be blamed on him.

It is best to instead blame him for the shit he is guilty of.

That's the thing though. For the most part the shit Obama should be knocked for is stuff that would absolutely occur under a Republican President and probably not occur if Obama were ACTUALLY liberal. It's why the right gets accused of being racist a lot with President Obama. The complete lack of reason and logic in some of the attacks they make instead of attacking legitimate things makes one wonder why they have such hate for such inane things. And racism is one of those things that doesn't hold logic. In Incorruptible's case I actually don't think he's racist (except against Muslims), I just think he's absolutely crazy.

And actually drone strikes in themselves are not bad, it's drone strikes with collateral damage that are the issue. I'd rather we use drones than send in ground troops to stop Al Qaeda and the Taliban, but I do not find civilian deaths to be "acceptable loss".

And it's nice to see liberals advocating for violence. I haven't been attacked because of what I said in person.
Expecting something and advocating something are different things. If someone takes a lot of drugs I would expect them to become addicted or overdose, I'm not advocating they take drugs. I actually don't want you to get your ass kicked because I don't advocate violence as a solution, but I wouldn't be surprised because you resort to insults faster and more often than anyone I've seen in P&N. And honestly, I think there are people out there that might benefit from a good ass kicking, you are not one of them as you can't be fixed.
