WTF? Can you imagine if the tea party stood in front of a polling place with sticks to defend their communities from their government? You'd have a fit.

So an overwhelmingly black city (which I grew up in ) is going to send cops to beat up black voters? Pull the other one. Just what are two guys with sticks going to prevent police from doing if they had a mind to anyway? And you are concerned about people asking exiting questions? You don't get around much.

You might want to reread. I was talking about the real Black Panthers which Amused called the NBPP and accused of being a black KKK before he edited.

Edit: Oh wait, he never edited that part out of his post, he just added the Wikipedia link for the NBPP

Look at my post. See the quote? That was before you edited your post. In your original post you were attacking the real Black Panthers.

Dude, there are no "real black panthers" anymore. There is only one existing black panther party existing today "new" or otherwise. Period.

There is no right to write down license plate numbers of voters, and license plate numbers are not public records.

Um...

okay...

wow...

did you THINK before you wrote this?

Maybe you're BLIND???

Your license plate is PUBLICLY VIEWABLE. It is free for anyone to see as long as your car is viewable from a public place.

I have the right to record whatever I see in a public place. Period.

I don't see how black people with billy clubs or random white folk would scare me into not voting or voting differently. It's not like they're looking over your shoulder when you go to the booth.

Anyway if either one of the groups tries to question you, you're free to tell them to fuck off.

I was over at the murphy lane location. A lot of white collar professionals and the lines were long. Taking it back.

I love someone refuses to address that the so called "armed black panthers" were in a majority black, democratic polling place. Yep, doing a whole lot of intimidation there.

Really ? Go record the license plates of parents picking up their kids at elementary school and see how that works out for you..

"The offending observers have reportedly stood behind the registration table (where they're not allowed) and taken pictures of the license plates of voters using curbside voting (also illegal), "

So you use an opinion piece as a source?

Really?

If it is in public view, it is free (and legal) to be photographed and recorded.

Oh, and leftwing NPR admits there is NOTHING illegal about recording license plate numbers:

http://www.npr.org/blogs/politics/2008/09/license_plates_monitored_at_oh.html

Even after trying to spin it as "evil" and "exclusionary," they are forced to admit it IS legal.

Robert told me he saw two older women taking down the license plate numbers of cars going to the early vote site (Veterans Memorial) in Columbus, Ohio today. They refused to tell him who they were or why they were doing it. I just checked with the Election Protection people who are covering Ohio. They said they got a handful of calls today from Franklin County voters complaining (or reporting) that people with clipboards were taking down license plate numbers. The lawyer at Election Protection (Ami Sanchez of the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights) said they've contacted the Franklin County Board of Elections to alert them. The BOE responded that they were keeping an eye on it. But Ami noted that there's nothing to prevent someone from doing this if they stay outside the zone where electioneering is prohibited. Sanchez said it can be "disconcerting" for voters to have someone writing down information about you

I've long thought that if you receive any government money you lose your right to vote. That would immediately solve a lot of our problems. And if you don't pay taxes it's worth half a vote or less.
Please explain to us how "receiving any government money" is different from claiming a tax deduction.

Please explain how, when I rob your house, me leaving something behind isn't a gift to you?

This is the mind of a liberal. This is how they think, this is what they believe to their core. It's not your money to begin with in their minds.

I can't wait to see the news that a coked-up voter screaming "WE THE PEOPLE!!" and tossing internet-sourced fliers into the streets was arrested at a Kentucky polling place this morning.

Why not?

Black panthers can stand out side in paramilitary garb and carry nightsticks.

Not saying that I agree with anything the clan does but as a matter of "equal protection" and the 1st amendment, you cannot treat groups differently just because you may not agree with them.

Wonder what ppl like spidey will do in oregon, where we voted by mail. Oh no, we can't intimidate anyone! I guess you could destroy mailboxes in minority areas around election time...lol
