You've got to be kidding, right?

On the one hand you proclaim to be "we the people" and want the "rule of law" and, on the other, you are openly flaunting the very law you're interested in protecting. Voter eligibility is a serious issue in this country, but the way to handle the problem isn't to engage in intimidation tactics, it's to change the law.

It's not that serious. In fact makes not a dimes worth of difference despite some of ideologues who post here think.

I don't believe there is anything illegal with polling voters. That's how exit polls are done. Nor is partisan poll watching illegal.

Cries of intimidation are rather silly, given the images of black panthers with billy clubs standing outside of polls last year and the refusal of the feds to pursue it. THAT is intimidation. Polling voters and watching polls is not.

You guys can make fun of spidey all you want, but he's correct in this thread.

Except it was one guy in a highly african-american neighborhood, and the Bush admin decided to not push the case any further ...

Right. And Obama and his department of justice thinks voter intimidation is just fine. Turnabout is fair game.

Bush admin decided not to pursue it any further nutjob. You can have your own (loony) opinions, but not your own facts.

You've heard it from the horse's mouth folks. Spidey now supports voter suppression and intimidation because of something two guys (may have) done two years ago (although we've seen no proof).

Way to take the high road.

Gotta love the Republicans. They think BIG.
Instead of just sneaking in a few extra votes they tried to steal the whole electoral process by their attempt to institute electronic voting machines.

You remember? The voting machines that could be cracked by, well, just about anyone. And from a company whose CEO said "my job is to get Republicans elected"

When do we start testing folks for their knowledge of common issues before allowing them to vote?

I've long thought that if you receive any government money you lose your right to vote. That would immediately solve a lot of our problems. And if you don't pay taxes it's worth half a vote or less.

Back to the good old days of the 1800s - only white, male property owners could vote and those dirty poor people knew their place.

If we don't do something soon we're going to end up like france or greece. When the majority of the people don't pay taxes and rely on government for their money/life it is unsustainable. We can't let people vote to steal from the working tax paying people. Socialism is great until you run out of other people's money to spend.

What does that have to do with this upcoming election? Either what the black panther party did in 2008 was ok, and you agree with voter intimidation, or it was not ok in which teabaggers shouldn't be engaging in scare tactics.

That's the rub. The Tea Party has plainly stated that ALL they will be doing is recording what happens, and polling people.

The Black Pansies stood in the doorway with weapons.

BIG difference. Poll monitoring and exit polling is NOT illegal nor intimidation. Standing in the doorway with weapons IS.

The claims that this amounts to intimidation means that ANY and ALL poll monitoring and exit polling is intimidation... and we know that's bullshit.

Plainly put: Poll monitoring and exit polling is LEGAL and that is all the Tea Party has said they will be doing.

Maybe they'll go step on some heads while they are at it.

So since your wife/girlfriend works for the government she shouldn't be allowed to vote. Right? :awe:

But then the Republicans will lose because the seniors can't vote.

Unfortunately, they've openly stated they're going to monitor whether non-citizens are voting. Since people don't walk around with their birth certificates stapled to their forehead, the ONLY assumption is that they will be writing down plate numbers of non-white people who show up to vote. That smacks of intimidation, and you know it (but obviously can't admit it to yourself).

3 times I've asked you in this thread to prove they stopped white people from voting. You cant you wont yet you keep pushing the same crap. Why is that?

So you'll have no problem proving that these Tea Party folks have stopped others from voting, right?

Well this would require a Delorean, where JSt0rm's request doesn't ... hmm, which is more probable?

So you can't prove it then? Then why would we need to worry about it now, create angst about it now?

Does someone recording my licence plate bother me when I go vote? No.

Why?

Because I'm a legal citizen, I vote properly, and I own that vehicle. Record the F away, because I have nothing to be worried about.

I'm not understanding all concern here...
