She should have thought about that before becoming an enemy of freedom.

The enemy of freedom is someone speaking their mind about politics and telling other people to better inform themselves about who they are voting for? I'm going to take a leap and assume that you think anyone who votes for a Democrat, or at the very least this particular Democrat is an enemy of freedom. So if you don't want to be an enemy of freedom you should either keep your mouth shut if you don't like the GOP candidate or strictly vote for the GOP candidate which would give us perpetual one-party rule because that is what freedom looks like?

I don't make the rules. If you are a leftist you are an enemy of freedom.

She’s the pop singer with the most amazing makeup job ever, sings good, writes catchy songs, does choreography, and dances like my dad.

Your dad does choreography? Cool gig
Okay, fixed it. There isn't any discernible connection between the rhythm of her music and the movement of her body. I'm not dissing her music in any way but Taylor Swift can't dance.

Edit: rhythm is one of those words that I will never learn to spell, trial and error every time.

Guys, stop calling it alt-right. They're white supremacists/white nationalists. At least drop the "alt", they're straight right wing. Maybe use far right if you're wanting to be polite and not lump in more centrist traditional Republicans.

Oh yes, I'm sure she's just incredibly hurt by your skeevy ass calling her a whore.

Considering the litany of crazed assholes in their ranks, I wouldn't.

Oh, you'd pass? I'm sure she'll be devastated. And you guys wonder why women are calling out shit big and small constantly. You can't fucking say anything about women without commenting on your attraction to them.

Are you kidding? She's been a Republican darling for years after she got started by "writing" 11 year old girl lyrics to country-pop songs.

Don't forget income level. There's lots of people that you'd likely assume are Democrats that are not, and vice versa.

Why are you surprised that people are surprised? Oh right, because you don't actually know what you're talking about here. Your knowledge of Taylor Swift seemingly amounts to you jacking off to pictures of her.
Taylor swift could care less about my opinion. She's very attractive. I fully admit that. However would she make my life any better or would she instead likely create problems I don't need? It's like if someone offered me a million dollar Lamborghini or a 20 million dollar house for free that you couldn't sell. Sure it may be fun for the first few days but when you start paying taxes, maintenance fees, security fees etc etc it becomes too much. I'd easily pass on such an offer. I don't have the money or time to deal with such things. The same with Taylor swift , hottie that she is. Right now I'm pretty happy as it is.

Well...she DOES have quite the reputation for fucking lots of guys...then writing songs about them when they break up...

You know the difference between a whore and a slut?

A whore will fuck anyone.
A slut will fuck everyone but you...

Lol

She’s still a sweet, innocent, cross over German looking artist defiled by Kanye to me.

First it was Willie Nelson, now Swift? Is country going the way of rock and roll? See, if we MAGA, we can fix this insanity.

I think what she said was real reasoned and she did a good job of discussing actual issues. I also agree that people shouldn't be talking about her looks in a thread about her political statement. Her statement will probably have some real effect, more than a typical celeb comment, considering the demographics of her fan base.

But calling someone a pedo because they said that a 30 year old women is attractive is bat shit crazy.

See, was that so hard?

So you're ok that he himself deliberately made (had changed, just realized he was calling her a little girl before I thought) his comment to call her a little girl? What the fuck do you call someone that says they're attracted to little girls? How else are you supposed to take a comment like that? Boomer doesn't even consider her a woman but a little girl. Which is not an uncommon issue with people, especially guys, and celebrities. There have been other pop stars stalked, attacked, and even murdered for having grown up and no longer being the sweet perfect virginal child that they had them locked into in their own minds. So yes, call me batshit crazy for pointing out the fucked up behavior like that.

Fair enough. I was responding to this statement specifically:

Which didn't seem limited by context, but you've clarified your meaning here so no big thing.

Ok.

I might clarify a bit more, and say that there's plenty of instances where guys say well she's going out of her way to make her appearance the consideration when that often times is not the case. Its the old "well if she doesn't want people to comment on her looks she shouldn't look like that!" bullshit. Yet weirdly no comments about anyone else's appearance (unless there's another woman they want to say is hot too) in the same situation. And if they do remark about a guy, its not about if he's attractive but rather stuff like how much of a douche they think he is or some other stupid shit that is not even remotely similar to the stuff they say about women. And there's lots of guys that view an actress on her appearance and not her acting talent. Among many other professions where they overwhelmingly do that (I still see guys bitching that there are women reporting on sports).

Wow...is dark the “stop picking on Brittney” guy?

Oh yes, I've never criticized her ever, think she can do no wrong, is being completely unfairly maligned, and I'm just bawling my eyes out that a possible pedophile burned out old man is saying she's good looking on a forum. Again, do you have zero self awareness? Maybe you should go post about it on 4Chan?

Captain Obvious, there you are! Actually I have a hunch that if you were to be able to talk about something other than her appearance or what you think she's like based on fucking celebrity gossip shit, she would be interested in your opinions. Like for instance, maybe about politics (assuming you have a more nuanced opinion that's based on something other than if you would or wouldn't want to fuck Marsha Blackburn or any other politician that happens to be a woman).

Uh...still don't know why you commenting on her appearance or how you think she'd throw your life into chaos has anything to do with this thread, let alone why you're sure trying to justify why you super totally wouldn't be interested in her if she were to be like, "Hey Sunburn74, wanna be may bae?" but...ok?

I'll be the first to admit that I sexually objective women all the time, in my head. But for crissakes, on a political discussion forum, every time we're talking about a woman in relation to politics, we don't need to comment on her looks, who she's f***ing, or call her a whore.

You're preaching to the choir on this. I'm not very PC as liberals go but I see these double standards all the time. Even among fellow male liberals. Look at the Nikki Haley thread. Page one, she's already called a "whore" by one poster while another speculates about her sexual escapades.

I'll be the first to admit that I sexually objectify women all the time, in my head. But for crissakes, on a political discussion forum whenever a woman is discussed we don't need to comment on 1) her looks, 2) who she's allegedly f***king or 3) call her a slut or whore.

Sorry, peoples on forums political leanings get quickly defragged from my brain and I have been limiting my time in P&N. More of people bashing other people, absurd views and all around bitterness and relatively little intelligent debate.

That was my first post, so I'm not sure why you are directing this at me.

I don't think anyone can be considered a pedo for talking about a fully developed 30 year old woman. You can talk about whether or not his choice of words is offensive or not, but calling him a pedo is ridiculous. And considering Taylor was 16 when she hit the scene and her first songs were about dating boys, I doubt anyone has pent up pedo virginal fantasies about her.

Ditto. I made a decision a number of years back that for both men and women - especially women though, as awful comments about their appearance are far more common online - I will never make a remark about their appearance or sexuality, just their actions / statements / policies. Of course, my thoughts in my head are a different matter, but that's nobody business but my own.

People: Act like adults. Debate issues, not appearance.

On topic: I'm not exactly a fan but was disappointed to hear radio silence from her around the election in 2016. This was probably a tough decision for her. Good for her for making it.

I try to do the same. OTOH, appearances matter. Take Trump. Any man who'd do that with their hair is an obvious fake.

It seems clear to me that a lot of what happened in 2016 was that people weren't particularly enthusiastic about Hillary & they thought she'd win anyway. So they didn't have to say anything. After this nearly 2 year shit show from Trump & the GOP, things look entirely different, don't they? Decent Americans have no intention of staying home or staying silent so that this shit show can continue.

She is super hot but I'm not a fan of her music. It's nice that she is taking a stand and endorsing some democrats. We need all the help we can get to put Brett Kavanaugh and Donald Trump in prison.

Russia needs help from Taylor Swift?

Russia Needs Taylor Swift would be a great name for a movie should Taylor Swift decide to take a shot at acting.
