The irony of this post coming from a conservative such as yourself is amazing. As a trained Army infantryman, I can tell you one ALWAYS shoots to kill. There is no such thing, in ANY firearm training, that teaches "shoot to wound."
Going to avoid taking things to the extreme..
If that guy got in your face and started screaming while being animated, would you hit him?

So I'm not a conservative. Second, not everything is war, and that type of mentality is the problem with people like you. Its the reason cops shoot people when its not needed.
Did you not learn to integrate back into society? By your logic, he should have killed this man. Do you think that was needed? If you do you are an extremely violent person and I hope you get help.
It's obvious you have no training in firearms, self defense, military, police or security.
Your opinion is invalid. You should be asking questions instead of making judgments based on misconceptions.
Finally, at what point should people resist their rights being violated by others in a threatening manner? Give me the precise moment. Does one have to wait until after they are attacked or killed? Or can they defend themselves and others before anyone is hurt, yet has been repeatedly threatened?
I hear what you're saying but those extra punches when the guy was down were from anger and not from protection mode.Again, are you supposed to wait until he gets back up and hits you?
It's obvious you've never been in a street fight where parents, teachers or security weren't there to save you.
Here is a hint: There is no rule to actual fighting. You hit them with anything and everything until they go down, and then make sure they stay down. You NEVER back off until you're sure they will stay down. Full stop. I can't tell you how many people I've seen lose a fight because they back off after a guy goes down only to realize all they've done is piss off someone who can kick their ass.
I know it's brutal, but hey, that's life.
You sir are an idiot. You don't get to meet all force with extreme deadly force.
Well he deserves one! He was spreading the hate like the base loves so much. He's a hero and a victim all at once so he's doing it up right by cultist standards.Trump will probably send the old guy a signed MAGA hat.
I never said that. Have fun with your strawman.
I said if you ARE going to shoot someone, it is always shoot to kill. Shooting is ALWAYS lethal force. If you want to use non-lethal force, it will not involve shooting. Full stop.
Meanwhile, this incident did not involve shooting, or lethal force. So what the literal fuck are you blathering on about anyhow?
You're having a big reaction brad. Amused is an alright guy, maybe back off a bit pumpkin.Bull shit you did not. You said that a guy on the ground on his stomach needs to be punched in the back of the head because "Again, are you supposed to wait until he gets back up and hits you?".
You are violent and need help.

hmm, the racist was clearly escalating. He absolutely needed to be shut down. But I agree it was excessive force. I'll say this much... if I had been there it would have been excessive verbal force on my part. I would have done my best to demoralize and tear that Fu*k to shreds. I suspect his evident violent nature would have shown itself upon my face.I get being angry at a racist doing racist things. What I don't get is someone advocating pinning a guy on the ground punching him in the back of the head and justifying it by saying that is how you are trained in the military.
Racist things should be called out, and violent people should be called out. Just so happens that this person is only one of those things.
No. If he started rushing a lady in a threatening manner? Yes. If his physical threats escalated? Yes. At some point in time, a person violating the rights of others must be stopped.
Let's take the old guy in Illinois harassing the lady with The Puerto Rican flag shirt. Did he touch her? No. Did he violate her rights and make her feel threatened and unsafe? Yes. Is he up on felony charges? Yes.
At what point do you stop someone from violating your rights and the rights of others?

Um, not at all. I said I'd get punched for my efforts. What are you on about in this reply to me?you think your words are going to shame him into anything? not sure what you are saying i guess seems silly, for one thats exactly what someone escalating wants is someone else to get rise out of it too.
and far too often one in the same. That is fine so long as the guy is not mentally ill, which I cant say he was. For the sake of argument, lets say he was not, and that being true I'm with you. What I find disgusting is people going down a different path of causing human suffering and then trying to justify it. Racism takes a very route and its disgusting. Racist people are very much like violent people in that way.
Look at that, we can agree from time to time. I'm not even the least bit sore from it. How about you?agreed.
That guy falling onto the tracks brought back a vivid memory from my time living in Munich. I was coming back, very, very late, from a party, and had to wait in the U-Bahn station for the trains to start running again -- think like something like 5 or 6 am.
