I prefer sausage to taco 😉

but seriously, i like hard tacos better. lots of cheese, sour cream and guacamole.

when eating fast food, i prefer hard shells
when eating "real" food, i've yet to see a good taco in a hard shell. they are always in regular tortillas

You can make them taste EXACTLY the same. Thus, you have to go for non-taste reasons.

Hard: crumbles and is a mess as all the juices run out the broken crack you just made. But some people like the crunchy feel.

Soft: easy to eat. But some people miss the crunchy feel.

Solution: soft shell taco, with broken chips in it. You get the exact same taste and crunch but without the mess. Also, it is a good way to get rid of those broken chips and broken hard taco shells.

I will only eat my tacos [not "a" taco] thusly:

1. Place a warm soft shell flour tortilla on the counter.
2. Smear the middle generously with warm canned Old El Paso refried beans.
3. Place a warm hard corn taco shell in the middle.
4. Fill with teh goodies.
5. Eat.
6. Repeat.

I am in the minority. I like a warm soft shell. The hard shells always end up stabbing me in the roof of my mouth. 🙁

Yeah, that's the worst part about em :Q.

I usually eat hard shells but I tend to warm them up a bit. Sometimes I'll use a soft shell, but I can never get them just right anyway. Also, I prefer a kind of mix as the best taco-ish thing I can have is the Chalupa from Taco Bell (kind of like a thicker soft shell).

I see two things wrong there...
1. Should be prepared on a plate or something
2. :vomit;
