Taco Bell Fire Sauce

It's definitely not hot, but it is the best tasting of the 'hot' condiments that Taco Bell has. The others are basically just tomato paste.

I wouldn't say I have much tolerance for spicy food, either, but I live in Louisiana so maybe it's a bit higher than the nationwide average.

One of my kids must have bought this stuff and left it in the fridge. I say that even though my wife is always on the hunt for new hot sauces for me, because I just don't think she would have considered this a candidate.

It's called "Fire Sauce" and on the label it says "I'm up for it if you are." Well. That must be some pretty spicy stuff. I grabbed a spoon and tried it. I didn't carry the experiment on too long, but I can tell you definitively that a large table spoon cannot hold enough of this shit to make it taste spicy. It makes Franks taste like ghost pepper juice. So, lol @ what America thinks is spicy, I guess.

For people that don't particularly like or eat spicy foods (for example, my mom) often, Taco Bell Fire Sauce is plenty hot/spicy.

I always get fire sauce, but you are right, it really isn't hot at all.

I guess if I didn't spend time in Korea in the Army eating some hot stuff, and had a friend that loved to make curry as hot as he could, I might think that stuff is hot too. My aunt can't even take two drops of Tabasco.

I wish we had a good Korean place around here. We do have a good Tandoori place, but you have to practically beg them to get the food hot. Probably had too much sent back.

Mmm, Thai. We have a really good small Thai joint a couple of miles from here. But yeah, even there you have to be adamant. "Cook it the way you would cook it at home!"

It's pretty mild, but it's the best sauce you can get at Taco Bell. One of my co-worker has a stainless steel hip flask. Instead of alcohol, it has his home-made hot sauce, which he would use during lunch time. I should have something similar next time I go to Taco Bell.

I have a brother in law who grew up in Souther California who eats at taco bell all the time. He can't eat the fire sauce, it is too hot for him. I think that is funny because it really is not all that hot.

As far as Tapatio, that is the go to around here. There is always a bottle in the break room at work, and we have a very large hispanic work force. I always have a bottle in my house too, good stuff.
