It's definitely not hot, but it is the best tasting of the 'hot' condiments that Taco Bell has. The others are basically just tomato paste.

I wouldn't say I have much tolerance for spicy food, either, but I live in Louisiana so maybe it's a bit higher than the nationwide average.

One of my kids must have bought this stuff and left it in the fridge. I say that even though my wife is always on the hunt for new hot sauces for me, because I just don't think she would have considered this a candidate.

It's called "Fire Sauce" and on the label it says "I'm up for it if you are." Well. That must be some pretty spicy stuff. I grabbed a spoon and tried it. I didn't carry the experiment on too long, but I can tell you definitively that a large table spoon cannot hold enough of this shit to make it taste spicy. It makes Franks taste like ghost pepper juice. So, lol @ what America thinks is spicy, I guess.

...did the "taco bell" on the wrapper not clue you in?

I just have them add actual sliced jalepenos and pour 10 packets of the fire sauce on if I'm subjecting myself to taco bell for some reason.

For people that don't particularly like or eat spicy foods (for example, my mom) often, Taco Bell Fire Sauce is plenty hot/spicy.

yes, my nephew is one of those. you would swear he just ate a raw Serrano pepper if he gets a anything "hotter" than the medium taco smell packets.

I think I remember reading that is a sign of being conceived by a weak sperm.

I'm sticking with Dave's Ultimate Insanity sauce. Just a couple of drops gives my chili just the right amount of heat.

In honor of Taco Bell Fire sauce, I had some Taco Bell tonight. Butthole is not destroyed, for your information.

You hit the nail on the head. One sauce from a large corporation labeled fire sauce is what every single American agrees is spicy, hard to argue with that logic.

I always get fire sauce, but you are right, it really isn't hot at all.

I guess if I didn't spend time in Korea in the Army eating some hot stuff, and had a friend that loved to make curry as hot as he could, I might think that stuff is hot too. My aunt can't even take two drops of Tabasco.

I wish we had a good Korean place around here. We do have a good Tandoori place, but you have to practically beg them to get the food hot. Probably had too much sent back.

Thai is where you get the heat. Sadly, the places I go to verify like 20 times that I actually want it "Thai hot" when I order. =(

Mmm, Thai. We have a really good small Thai joint a couple of miles from here. But yeah, even there you have to be adamant. "Cook it the way you would cook it at home!"

It's pretty mild, but it's the best sauce you can get at Taco Bell. One of my co-worker has a stainless steel hip flask. Instead of alcohol, it has his home-made hot sauce, which he would use during lunch time. I should have something similar next time I go to Taco Bell.

Hey, look!
It's an I-am-superior-to-you-because-my-favorite-hot-sauce-is-hotter-than-yours thread.

I'm gonna go eat breakfast now and put some paprika on my eggs. Zoweeee!!!! OMG the PAIN!!!

Hot sauce is about flavor to me, not heat. I actually think TB's hot sauce tastes better than the fire. There's not much spice, but the flavor is good.

ooooh salsa

wow this is spicy

oh god is that an onion!

I can't remember, is that George Lopez or Carlos Mencia? It is funny though.

I have a brother in law who grew up in Souther California who eats at taco bell all the time. He can't eat the fire sauce, it is too hot for him. I think that is funny because it really is not all that hot.

As far as Tapatio, that is the go to around here. There is always a bottle in the break room at work, and we have a very large hispanic work force. I always have a bottle in my house too, good stuff.

I don't even understand this.

All of Taco Bells sauces taste just like vinegar and salt. Nothing else. They all taste exactly the same to me with no differing levels of spiciness.

Sorry to tell you this, but there's something wrong with your tongue. It's not even a case of not being able to distinguish between finer nuances of flavor here.
