People who think rationally realize that arguing with nuts of any religious persuasion is an intellectual dead-end, so they don't want to waste time. But when the same people figure out that the things they hold dear are threatened by the latter's actions, including life, they will start calling a spade a spade. Right now, the biggest threat to the world are Muslim nutcases, which is why they are drawing so much attention. Tomorrow, if it is Christians or Jews or Hindus who fly planes into buildings and blow up trains, you can bet that they will also come under the microscope.

Also, tolerance is not necessarily a positive thing. Acceptance goes beyond tolerance. Tolerance in Europe means that you hate the people, but let them exist. You tolerate their existence. They don't accept them. There is a big difference.

Why do you think "Islamic terrorism" is so captivating to people in the West? Most people's education about Islam comes from hysterical OP-ED pieces and "news" reports and crappy TV shows like "24".
