That certainly covers a lot of ground. Who admitted to it?

It covers the same ground as the current seal complaint. Noone in the Obama has admitted it. In the Plame case Robert Novak was tipped off by someone in the administration.

So where's the seal outrage?

Do you not know or are you reluctant to identify the leaker for some reason?

Two names have come up in this case. Scooter Libby and Richard Armetige.

In either case both are part of the Bush administration

My name comes up all the time. Doesn't mean I'm guilty of anything.

Who is the self-admitted leaker and why are you so reluctant to name him?

If the seals could answer the same question we wouldn't be here.

That doesn't make either group wrong, but it's something to consider along with their claims.

Doesn't make them right either.

To me, Obama's speech wasn't evil, it was merely politically stupid. Less "me" and more "us" would have been more palatable and served him better politically, but it WAS accurate.

It was accurate. What was he supposed to do refer to himself in the third person as in "the office of the president made sure that finding Bin Laden was a top priority with the CIA." The transcript of that press is findable online.

He did use "us"/"we" at least twice as much as "I"/"me"...

I guess any use of "me" in that speech would be unacceptable to some people here unless it was a republican making the speech.

Im assuming it would heve been ok for Obama's version of the aircraft landing. Run down that hallway with his arms up signaling touchdown, spike a football, begin his speech without the use of the words "I" or "me".

Hey seals that's all you got??

If it had been a Republican president who did it, the same people counting words in Obama's speech and making lie-filled videos about how he "took too much credit", would be designing a gilded statue of said Republican president for the Washington mall.

Pure, 100% partisan hypocrisy. As Rainford said, a Democrat looks good on a national defence issue, and it's driving them nuts.

Group behind Obama attack ad has Republican Party ties

A group of former U.S. spies and commandos that launched a media campaign this week criticizing President Barack Obama's national security record has extensive links to the Republican Party, public records indicate.

Federal Election Commission filings show that one of the principal sources of finance for Smith's Majority America group was a $250,000 donation from the late Carl Lindner, an Ohio businessman who backed numerous conservative causes - including the original 2004 "Swift Boat" campaign against John Kerry.

OPSEC has registered as a non-profit "social welfare" group, under section 501(c)4 of the U.S. tax code, a provision that allows it to keep its donors secret.

Braden said he was unaware that Lindner had financed the 2008 group in which he and Smith were involved. He declined to disclose information about OPSEC's finances.

that was quick. now I hope this shuts them down for good or at the minimum de-legitimizes them

We know all PACs operate independently from any political party involvement.

No communication, assistence or guidance in either direction.

Just good old boys meaning no harm, telling the truth.

I applaud the fact that Obama gave the orders for our military to invade a friendly countries borders, kill their citizens and assassinate a foreign leader without benefit of a trial. I hope it happens in Cuba and Venezuela and perhaps Argentina sometime soon.

And we all know that's bullshit. You do too, most likely, but you just like to argue, I'd guess.

Looks like Swiftboat swiftkicks to the groin tactics have become anachronisms victimized by the very technology the swiftie's themselves rely on. So funny.

I guess it keeps the rightie whacko's fed on their daily diet of propaganda and "good news", so no harm done.

Gone are the days where turd bombs flung by the well funded rightie fringe groups don't get it right back in their faces because the Dems didn't want to stoop down to their level of dirty play.

I guess Chicago style politics does have its advantages.

You forgot to tap the sarcasm meter and/or just not hanging around P&N enough to realize my attitude toward snakes.

Better quality existed in the olden days for mud slinging politics.

But it's entirely OK when Bush Co. did it.

Your attitude is pretty apparent.

Politicians are snakes.
Dems are meaner snakes; they like to reach into my pocket; steal and hand it out to the whiners.

Versus the Republican snakes who bite you, reach into your pocket, hand it out to the bigger snakes, then laugh as you die from their venom?

Or perhaps, Reps and Dems are both corporatists, but the Dems just believe in throwing out the occasional sop to the workers. Which, of course, is anathema to some....
