I got tired of the fat kid's whining, but other than that it was a great movie!

McLovin is the one of the things that kept me watching that movie.

Oh, and the dick drawings at the beginning I found funny. Although most people don't...

there were dick drawings at the end too... a lot. i stayed, it was worth it. now if someone would just compile them into a book i'd be buying it.

you poor, poor repressed girl 🙁

sense of humor?

the dicks were historic figures, people in the news today... characters. it's funny seeing people drawn as dicks.

haha it's all good. i found that part funny because i did something similar back in the day. in textbooks or library books or magazines or anything, my friends and i would draw in raging, throbbing, tree branch boners on people or in people's mouths whenever possible.

ah, middle school... good times, good times.

I give this Pontifex movie review a disappointing two stars. Again, the lack of actual movie review content in this movie review was somewhat disconcerting.

finished watching both Superbad and Knocked Up...

didn't see what the hype was about for either movie...Superbad was rental and Knocked Up was an HD DV buy one get one free deal and I still feel ripped off...

Just for the record, I loveed Harold/Kumar, Dodgeball and Talledega Nights but hated 40 Year Old Virgin..

Yet another coming of age movie. I guess those of us old enough to remember the 1,000s that have preceded it just don't find them funny anymore.

I heard it was a hilarious movie, so the wife and I just watched it and while it had it's moments, I can think of many funnier movies of the genre.

All of the parts between the beginning and the end are what I found hilarious.

agreed 😀
saw it twice in theaters when I worked there, and also stopped and watched quite a few parts when making the rounds through the theater and wasted time by watching it and no part ever got old. 😀

however, its far from a movie I could watch ad infinitum. While it's great, it's the type where some parts could remain funny, but the general movie would start to get boring. There are very few movies (comedy and non-comedy) that I can stand viewing countless times.

I love the movie though, don't get me wrong. 😉

I haven't seen the movie because I tend to avoid mindless shock-humor films at all costs. I constantly get told how I have no sense of humor because I didn't think 40 Year Old Virgin (which I was guilted into watching) was 'the best movie ever.' In my opinion these films cater to the lowest common denominator and are about as 'subtle and witty' as someone trying to open a bottle with a sledgehammer.

Art is subjective obviously and if you like this kind of thing then more power to you.. but have the same respect not to knock people who don't find a constant stream of dick jokes to be ultra hilarious and fresh.

Hey, opening a bottle with a sledgehammer takes skill. If we're talking about avoiding those nasty bits of glass, at least.

just saw this movie, did not like it, too stupid, not funny at all...those that loved this movie probably were a loser in high school...

while I was far from being popular, I was also far from being a loser, and I talked to most everyone in my class of nearly 500 (yes, including the 'popular' people, and was good friends with a few, but mostly stuck to a close group of friends who were equally as obnoxious as I was. 😛 ). And I know quite a few of those 'popular' people who raved this movie. 😉
theory=garbage

I chuckled at some parts but that doesn't mean the movie wasn't stupid. After the cops showed up, the whole thing took a dive for the worst. I mean, initially they were funny... and then they took him in their squad car and the rest was completely random. WTF happened to half this movie???
