Sweet game. I'm way better than I thought. I've been kicking ass online. Then again, I have every Street Fighter game for the PS2. Next, I'll try my Hori but I wish it was heavier so that it wouldn't move around so much.

just use a hammer and some nails to fasten it to your lap. no problem.

Super Turbo was supposed to have very tough AI if you turn up the difficulty of the arcade machine. I'm playing on regular mode and it's good challenge. I'm still trying to learn all the moves. It's quite bit change from HyperFighting.

Oh god...this game rocks. I love the player matches. Reminds me of being 10 again and battling it out with guys at the pizza parlour. Tournament is fun as hell too. SF II...the greatest fighting game of all time, recreated in Hi-Def, what more can you ask for?

How the hell do we select Akuma? Everywhere says press up on E Honda but it doesn't work.

It's always the center-highest character. If it's the versus mode, it's E. Honda I think. If it's the single-player "arcade" mode, it's Guile.

Basically, Akuma is in the center on top of everybody else. You have to pick the left-of-center, highest character, regardless of the character layout.

Im trying so hard to be honorable, but the amount of people that are jump kicking and then throwing online are insane. Its really starting to ruin all the fun...they do all these fixes and changes, and they leave alone the most blatant cheap move?

For those that werent playing in the arcades back in the heyday, this would easily get you a genuine real life punch in the face.

I'm fine with playing any of you guys online for a few matches if you see me on and not watching a movie or something. I'm not that great, but I can take losses as long as I'm somewhat competitive. If you simply whip my ass every single time and I have no shot whatsoever, then I won't play you anymore 🙂.

How is throwing cheap? You can reverse basic throws. Throwing is part of the gameplay. If you don't like it, throw them back.

Throwing is fine. Jump kick/throw is a punk bitch move. Its not as bad in SSF2 Turbo as it was in the other SSF2s because of reverses, but its still a cheap shot.

whats up with the insane prices for ancient games?

😕

so you played ssf2t in HD online in tourneys or player matches a long time ago?

what system was that for?

Sorry, but this is NOT a game that benefits much from HD. Online is great, but it looks exactly the same as it always has.

i know i'm just asking since he's apparently played it a long time ago in this same form.

i wouldn't pay $5 for this game personally because SF:AC is way better than this game is, but $15 for this is hardly an "insane price".

Ok ok let me be a little more specific. The new textures/sprites/whatever and backgrounds look good, but the animation hasn't changed and it's definitely showing it's age. Maybe I was just asking too much, but I guess for $15 I was expecting smoother animation.

Barring anything else, the insanely good online play for this makes it worth a full priced game to me. I've been waiting for a lag free 2d fighter forever.

These tutorial videos hlped me alot. They coincidentally are made by the guy that helped develop and update the hd remix version.

beginner pt1. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0cFs5mHQC4
Beginner pt2. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...EQL9jE&feature=related
Intermediate - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...hsOMcg&feature=related
advanced - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...K2_Pz4&feature=related

i haven't tried the stuff in the advanced tutorial and this won't show you button presses to do the moves but this is excellent strategy.

Are there any other in-depth strategy tutorials (video or otherwise) like the videos above? I couldn't find anything that great on gamefaqs.

Yeah, the animation is definitely rough, but adding frames could potentially alter gameplay, which is something they were clearly trying to avoid here.

I hope they get around to redoing SF3 before too long, that has much smoother animation.

Downloaded the demo. Couldn't try it single player. Deleted it.

Edit: And this is coming from someone who used to pour quarters into the various versions of SF in high school. What idiot decided that you shouldn't even be able to play a single fight in the demo?

So you used to spend tons and tons of quarters on the entire game series long ago, and you get pissed because you can't play a single player game in the demo? Just pay the $15 and quit being so melodramatic.

Sounds like you're an old school gamer...I'd hate to see your attitude back when games didn't have demos....

I agree w/ boberfett. Not including a single player portion to a demo is just stupid.
