Well maybe they will release a 300 watt beast to counter AMD's newest best.
Or maybe they will drop the price of the 770 to 300 bucks :)

It would be so hilarious if they announce a new card even before AMD is able to release their "next gen".

Looks like AMD made the right call to extend their initial NDA.

Really?
If nVidia announces a new card or something like this then all the buzz about Hawaii is right away dead.

Another price cut on Shield and a new lineup of sticker skins for the shield carrying case.

Okay, but if AMD had done their reveal first they are stuck trying to alter the original reviews and information. That is a terrible position to be in if the Nvidia announcements have any relation to GPUs.

It's big, I'm sure of it and have been for weeks. Whether or not it'll save them from Mantle is another matter but I'm 100% sure that Nvidia fanboys will be celebrating like it's Christmas by the end of the week.

I'm guess they are adding a stand alone PhysX card to boost Retro Encabulators, this should only appeal to those interested in syncing Cardinal grammeters.

It's not a graphics card. It's the usual "look over here, look over here!" distraction tactics that most companies peddle when their competitor comes out with something new. See also AMD giving out chips outside the IDF.

Yes, i got that. It's a shame that AMD needs such tactics.

So let us look forward to the next two days and hope there is coming something real to us,

Get out!! They really did that?
Hmmmf. Yup. They sure did. "Hungry for a new chip?" was the # on their shirts.

I believe will be a thing of really great impact to the gaming market. Like "Mantle-impacting" or a bit less.

The most egregious example of all time that I can think of is AMD trying to confuse customers with their CPU naming convention.

i7 920, 940 furthered the absolute smackdown that Core 2 brought on the CPU market, so AMD launched the Phenom II X4 920 and 940 Black Edition.....

Yeah, it was pretty painful.

But then they're all guilty of this kind of stupid stuff:

dropping the 770 to 300$ won't ever happen. it would mean nVidia and AMD would both have 300$ cards that perform the same and nVidia is hard at work on the "premium" perception as a brand so they will always strive to release a card that's slightly mroe powerful and slightly more expensive.

GTX770 is not their premium line. That would be GTX780 and Titan. So there is no reason not to lower the prices.

Yup, it's not, but it's priced very close to what historically has been a premium flagship card's price point ~ $500 USD.

Needs a $150-175 price drop.

NV knows it needs to expand into new markets to achieve substantial growth. It'll be interesting to see what they cooked up after the Shield.
