It went to ready on steam...

But now it's telling me it's "unavailable" :(

one guy in the steam forums said that this is common when the game just released due to lots of people trying to launch, and that you should try again every few minutes. no idea if it is true or not, but i'm trying every minute :D

I'm hearing midnight pacific, which is stupid imo ><

Heh, stayed up until 3AM (midnight pacific) and it still wont run.

Thx steam for a ruined night! Glad i paid the same price for no disc, no box, no instructions, and no key, and pre-downloaded all of the content, just so i could play immediately at midnight.

How silly of me to think it should work as advertised.

It was a nice touch for valve to make sure the giant "AVAILABLE NOW! SUPCOM 2! OMGOMG!" ad went up at midnight EST, over 3 hours ago.

valve has assured i will never give them my money again.

not like it would make any difference, retail copies need to activate and unlock on steam too.

here's an idea valve: forget pre-orders and encryption. sell the game when it releases and let us play the damn thing.

also, requiring steam for a retail version is just bananas.

Im contacting support for Square and GPG too.

Hopefully they will realize their terrible decision and not include steamworks in future titles.

how long did it take to clear up? if its not ready to play by the time i'm home from work I'll be pretty annoyed.

Think it was around 2 days, with many a false time given from valve. It got pushed back like 4 times.

not sure what the gamespot review was talking about re: pathfinding issues. i didn't have any in the demo. i specifically tested it on the 2nd mission since they've been hyping it so much. it seemed to work as advertised for me...

I tried to start it today, got "unavailable", verified game cache, started to download a patch. I had to leave for work, but try verifying the cache, or restarting steam. If it matters, I am using the beta.

Can anyone tell if they removed the building synergies? I just realized that is probably how they "simplified" the economy, which would suck.

adjacency bonuses weren't in the demo...however as you increase your training level through the research menu, build times and cost decrease for some types of units.
