Just to give you guys an idea of how bad my acne is... Here is what I look like now: http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/3461/ragequite.jpg

And, if you can stomach it... Here is my acne on just one side: http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/5144/holycrapo.jpg

It's started to spread to my chest and back now. It's really annoying. I would love to just start using those meds tomorrow if I could get them in the mail by then... I don't know how long it will be though until I get them. 🙁

Buy some accutane it's magical

for years i had dermatologists prescribe retin-a and some antibiotic with visits for blackhead removal which sucks.

then finally i went to a dermatologist who prescribed accutaine and that was the only treatment that ever worked. that stuff seriously dries you out though. i had to keep using lip stuff like blistex. and if you're pregnant you're not even supposed to handle the pills. the packaging even had a pregnant woman image with a circle with the line through it.

EDIT: i also had to be tested to make sure my liver could take the treatment. so i had to have my blood checked every month. if my kids ever get acne i'll just make sure the dermatologist goes straight to accutaine.

I had acne when I was a teenager. Only thing that really made it more or less go away all together was religious face washing, and I used DIAL brand antibacterial soap. I still use it to this day... Skin is clear.

I had mild acne as a teenager. I have a few pock marks on my face (other places too) from some of the more severe bouts. Interestingly, I burned my face (second degree burns) later in my teen years and it more or less cleared it right up. I had far fewer outbreaks afterwards and they were less severe.

Now, my problem is rosacea. I've found a way to keep it under control though but I must try to keep one step ahead of it.

Hope it works for you TT!

I will also add that if you can get a tan that it helps at least with appearance. Meaning acne is less noticeable on tanned skin than pale. Just a thought.

I did Accuate when I was 13. Nine months of treatment kept me clear for about 2 years. I'm 21 now and still battling acne.

I'm 26 and still got it. It comes like a women's menstrual cycle - once a month. I also have sensitive skin. I'm thinking about growing a short beard because shaving makes my skin peal, bleed, and blister.

My acne was ridiculous. It was bad to begin with starting in freshman year of high school, I had what most people would consider bad acne. Then I decided to join the football team. The next few years were a cycle of bad to disgusting. When I was playing football the side pads on my helmet combined with the sweat and oil gave me what I affectionately dubbed my first set of sideburns, only they were entirely made out of acne.

The worst it ever got was when all of the pimples on one side of my face decided to merge into a super pimple and created a blister that was the size of a half dollar completely filled with nasty fluid.

After trying every possible medicine my dermatologist decided to put me on Accutaine. I went through two different cycles of the it and finally today I have a decent complexion, though I still am never pimple free.

In the end while Accutaine might be a wonder drug as far as fighting off acne, I'm not sure if the side-effects justify the results. My skin is always super dry now, not only on my face but my arms as well. I am addicted to chapstick, and my eyes which used to be better than 20/20 are pretty crappy by comparison. I also suspect that it had something to do with my hairloss, but that might just be genetics 😀

Um... You guys MAY want to try this. I've noticed that whenever I had bad acne, it was when I was NOT drinking very much WATER. For example, when I did not have much time to excersize, I just did not feel thirsty.

I drank only water for like fucking 6 months. It didn't do shit. My acne has only gotten worse. It's not the diet. It's fucking genetic for me.

This is after about 27 days on tetracycline, special washing pad thingies, and differin. I don't know if I will get my next months supply of tetracycline in time because of some issues with my health insurance and college shit... I had to go get that fixed last week, and well.. yeah I have to make sure this shit is really fixed today/tomorrow otherwise I am fuckedzorzed. 🙁

Anyway, compare and contrast:

Barf.

Not a real difference besides the length of my hair and how I now have headphone hair in the picture. 😛 Yep, this stuff isn't doing anything... if I don't see any progress by the end of next month I am just going in and getting accutane. I'll suffer through the side effects. (Assuming I don't actually go bald 😛 )

Diet includes more then just what things you drink. It includes the foods you eat as well.
