Good point. I don't do much in the way of super-fast acceleration, though I will say that this thing's got a good bit more more get-up-and-go than my Elantra had. Maybe it's the engine power, maybe the drivetrain...don't know for sure.One doesn't buy a WRX to be concerned about fuel economy
That said, all this thread really proves is that some cars are more sensitive to driving style than other cars. This is why many people never achieve EPA estimates while others can consistently exceed them.
And I use cruise control whenever I can. Less to think about, and it should let the transmission and engine do a better job of figuring out the ideal settings.
