Dudes on crotch rockets, popping wheelies at 60+ mph during rush hour traffic.

Dumbasses.

Last week on my drive to work, I encountered someone who just wanted to go fast. Problem was, we were all doing 10-15 over anyway, and there was some decently heavy traffic. So what does this fool do? Weave in and around traffic, and at times pass on the shoulder. The shoulders are plenty wide, but are covered in those rumble strips.

He ended up pulling away from the pack after a while, but eventually I caught up to him, as he took the same exit, and was waiting for a traffic light.

It's amazing the amount of stupid things people are willing to do out on the road, and there's no guarantee they'll get to their destination any earlier.

The one thing I've finally realized after driving for some years is that it doesn't matter how fast you're going on the highway, someone will always want to pass you and go just a little faster. Going 20mph over the speed limit? I guarantee some dude in an Altima (most of the bad driving I see is done by people in Altimas, for some reason) will fly up behind you, tailgate you, then pass you.

My pet peeve is people that tailgate you in the right lane when the passing lane is open.

This happens to me fairly often; I don't always drive fast, so I usually sit in the right-most lane.

The other thing I notice is that if I'm the middle lane of a three-lane highway and someone comes flying up behind me, maybe 3/5 times they'll pass me on the right, even though the left lane is completely clear. Still trying to figure that one out.

Teenage chick with one leg criss-crossed under her accelerator leg, eating a hamburger with her left hand, phone texting in her right hand, fries on the center console, messing with her stereo. I drive a truck and was wondering why she was weaving so much, lo and behold......

The best is when they try that move and there is a line of cars they get stuck behind in the right lane.

I sometimes pass someone in the middle lane on the right. Though, I don't come right up behind them and then move to the right if the left is open. I was taught to keep right unless passing, so I'm constantly moving to the right lane. If someone is in the middle moving slower, I don't feel like moving two lanes over just to pass them and move two lanes back.

Saw a Honda Accord towing a small Uhaul trailer do a 180 and slam into a guard rail at 60-70mph.

The Uhaul trailers say max is 45 or 55mph for a reason, don't ignore them. It was not even that windy when it happened.

The car had him, his wife?, and a small child in the back yet was driving way to fast while towing.

There's times I wish I had an electronic messageboard on the back of my car, just to say, "Get off my ass and pass me already."

Because they aren't just casually speeding or passing, they are deliberately posturing and 1 upping everything in sight. Most antics on the road are just plain pissing contests. Altimas are sportier than Camrys or Accords so naturally the aggressive alpha douchebags gravitate to them.

I've noticed it has to do with the car you are in. If you are in a beater and they are in something new and shiny they will be hell bent on catching and passing you. If they can hear and feel your supercharged V8 rattling their face from a mile behind, they are less eager to be competitive with you.

If the car is lowered , has blue headlights, chrome aftermarket wheels, etc, you can be sure its going to start shit with everything on the road. Altimas and Gs are some of the worst offenders.

Just the other day I saw a motorcycle going at least 90MPH down the shoulder of the freeway while the rest of traffic was bumper to bumper.

One of the things I noticed the other day was while picking up the teenage daughter at her high school all the teen drivers would pull up to the road from the parking lot, look both ways and then go, causing the cars on the road to have to hard break. This was not one or two bad drivers, this was basically all of them. I looked at our teenager and said: 'Just in case we never told you, it is not enough to just look both ways. You then have to STOP if something is coming!' Apparently no one tells kids that part.
