Seems plausible. I'll accept what you are telling me without even attempting to validate it. Donald Trump, the great uniter.

Racism is a manifestation of self hate. Self hate is a belief in a lie. That means that racism doesn't actually exist. What does exist is that self hate is caused by putting children down for not conforming to some moral standard that runs counter to some aspect of human nature we are all born with, such as selfishness. Once a person is taught to hate factors of his character that promoted species survival through millions of years of evolution that child learns to hold in contempt who he or she really is.

This is all done by comparing one child, you, the bad, one to the idealized one your parent or guardians or peers, in their own state of self contempt, imagine, if you conform to that model that will fix you and make you OK. And those comparisons can take any form based on the smallest of differences. They include anything we have been taught are sacred cows we should idolize. Thus does self hate get projected onto the other of any kind and form, differences in body type, thought type, emotional expression, any thing one can dump on to give expression to hate.

What you are doing is trying to transfer a moral contempt for bigots, the really really bad people, onto somebody besides yourself because of course you are, like everybody else, a bigot inside. We were born to see difference in order to survive and even black and white are different to the color blind. What happened to you is that you have been brainwashed to think that the capacity to see difference means one is full of bigotry. That's your way to pretend you're better than others and to take delight in putting them down.

Try to forgive yourself so you can forgive others. It's not a good thing to hate yourself for who you are when you really have no idea who that is.

The study.

Just goes to show, Trump is good for America in more ways than one. If we could just get the left to stop manufacturing faux racism at every opportunity and stop embracing racist policy like affirmative action, maybe we could realize MLK's dream more fully.

There are major flaws in that article and the conclusions derived from the study.

For one, it only touches on anti-black and anti-Hispanic incidents. It completely sidesteps anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim incidents. Gee, I wonder why you and the Spectator author are conveniently ignoring those?

Moreover, it's based on a survey of 2,500 people that gauges prejudices in their opinions. Not incidents -- just opinions. So it's not even about hate crimes, it's about sentiment. And the FBI has recorded a sharp uptick in hate crimes ever since Trump's election.

And did you even finish reading the article? The researchers point out that Trump may have reduced prejudice by galvanizing people against him. That is, people realized he was such a racist shitbag that it made them rethink their views. There's also the possibility that people who evinced racism against Obama are more relaxed now that there's another old white man in office.

That's not what the FBI reported hate crime statistics says.

First, from what I've heard from a well respected source is that they're just reporting on these crimes differently than the have in years past. They've tweaked the criteria and have more agencies reporting now. But in fact, it is doubtful that actual hate crimes are actually up. Secondly, that is a meaningless stat in the best of cases. Something like this is considered a mass shooting and not a hate crime. Sorry, but the picture is skewed. You might as well throw that graph in the garbage.

So easily duped.

Trumpism isn't a rational thing. It just feels good to people whose bullshit detectors are broken.

Yeah, that link would certainly skew the numbers back in your favor.../s
Link us up to your well respected source's claim so we can see if there's any merit to it.

This is good news. Its good to see that the President's persistent racism is having less of an impact than researchers previously thought.

The last two paragraph of that article demonstrate that the reason Trump may have a positive influence is because he is so awful in his policies that people don't want to be like him.

That's so special.

Remember those movies they made in the 50's for kids showing them how to be thoughtful, They need to make some new ones featuring Trump as the bad example.

MST3K shorts :D

It would be great if the original cast did a "The President Trump Years" episode. There's no doubt it would be a smash hit.

Guys, this comes from a place of love.. But if you're actually reading the links this idiot posts, you may be letting his stupidity infect you.

If I may borrow from Nietzsche, "He who fights with monsters should be careful lest he thereby become a monster. And if thou gaze long into an abyss, the abyss will also gaze into thee."

Anyway, came here to point out that you obviously truncated your thread title. It should read: Study finds Trump has made Americ LESS racist . . . by comparison.

It was Candace Owens that said it, and I believe her more than anyone here. The whole thing is fantastic, but if you really want to hear her just say that small part about the statistics being skewed, skipping the rest out of fear of your bubble developing a crack, listen starting at ~4:00.
