I have Werdum winning.. Reem did nothing.

This is why Fedor is the greatest. He puts it all on the line.

One of the worst fights I've seen, main event or undercard. Really an abomination.

I agree I thought Wedding won. He was willing to throw with Overeem, even out throwing him, he was going for take Downs and actually got a lot of them. Werdum took the fight second and third IMO.

He was throwing pillows, dont let that fool you. Overreem did what he had to do to win.

I think Overeem took the first and second. Now I know people might think this is stupid but if Werdum was jumping back up after hitting the canvas, he would have won the fight. But the appearance was that he was being manhandled and he couldn't counter it.

Based on that fight, I think Silva kicks Overeem's ass and Barnett takes his fight.

But he threw... he even out landed. Also, everytime he successfully pulled guard he got a takedown. Honestly, Overeem did nothing except disappoint while Werdum was basically what I expected.

Fuck it pisses me off so much that Overeem didn't blow Werdum up. I totally thought he would. I would even have put it on him within three. So disappointed. Maybe I was wrong ranking Cain top 2 in my top 10 list, number one hw now.

As many have stated, K1 has little relevance to MMA. Reem was sweating the take down so hard, he was unable to execute his striking game. Which was mostly unwarranted in retrospect, because he showed good defensive BJJ when he had to. He was based out good, and hard to sweep from the top, and demonstrated the ability to escape and stand up from the bottom. I think he could have postured up and GnP'd from guard, effectively.

Also, what really surprised and disappointed me, was the bad cardio both displayed. I could not see either going 5 rounds in a championship fight right now.

Jorge looked peaked, very impressive. I surmise he will get wrestle fucked by Gilbert though. He did something many fighters fail to do, as well. And that is, exploit a boxer's bobbing, weaving, and front heavy stance, by using well timed knees and kicks.

I didn't see the fight, but I've seen a few of the "highlights." Reminded me of Silva-Leites back at UFC 97(?). Did Werdum seriously think Overeem was going suddenly decide, "oh wow, he's asking me to get into his guard? Sure, sounds like a great idea!"

I would have been pissed if I paid to see that shit.

KJ Noon's fight was awesome though.

Yup there's no way anyone can seriously rank Overeem over Cain after last night. JDS should be above him too.

Reem got out struck, I don't know if he was being serious when he told Gus that none of Wedrums punches hurt him. But Werdum lander better punches and I believe won the fight. It's no surprise that Cecil Peoples was one of the judges. Now I'm not saying Werdum kicked his ass, but when they actually were fighting and not trying to not fight, Werdum did more. The compustrike numners showed Werdum got as many take downs, and landed more punches/kicks, they need to judge fights differently because Werdum was ahead on everything in the numbers. FUCKING wack judges.

Here's Cecil

He use to be a shitty ref, but he's moved on to become a shitty judge.

From what I saw in that fight, Lesnar would kill Roidereem, I might have been off predicting who would win (well officially any ways) But what I said about Roider seems 100% true. He's not a good MMA fighter and should stick to K-1. He beat Buentello to get the belt, Paul was great in his time, but in 07 it wasn't exactly a great win. Not a bad win, but definitely not a title fight. At this point anyone else in the tourney will light up Roider's ass, so there's really no chance of him winning.

QueBert,

More than one mma news site had Overeem winning all three rounds. I know you think Werdum won but he nothing to win.

You can say the same about Overeem but Overeem controlled where the fight took place. You could argue that each time Overeem threw Werdum to the ground, it could count as a takedown. I would think Overeem's few punches that landed did more damage than Werdum's.

In this case, I don't think the judging was all that bad. It was a horrible fight. As I said previously, if Werdum did not act exhausted or beat down after the first round, he probably could have won. Instead, the ref was having to yell at him to get him to stand up. He acted like he couldn't stand up any longer.
