Also the only reason SFV was released incomplete like this is because of one reason and one reason only which is Capcom Cup which season starts on the 25th of this month.

Capcom even stated as much. They were releasing the game early with minimal game modes for people to get in some time to practice. Capcom actually tries to do the community a solid and everyone cries about it anyway.

Ya pretty sure there is no chat for PC yet.

Everyone i've played on a PS4 so far i've destroyed lol.

Could just be noobs though.

add me as a 'favorite' on there and we can run some matches. CFN is purbeast. i don't know if it pops up like a friend notification if favorites sign or not. but that is the easy way to invite people by piocking from favorites. i think you can manually invite by entering a psn ID too.

my psn ID is purbeast too. feel free to add me. i'm going to be on a lot tomorrow night but will hop on a little tonight if anyone wants to play. i'm not a noob to fighters but i'm a noob to this game lol. but for the most part i know what i'm doing.

shoot me a PM on here if you wanna run some matches tonight in the next hour or so.

the people who are playing in the tourneys aren't crying about it, but the people who play in tournies make up less than 1% of total gamers playing it.

Right and regardless of the reason people do have a right to be frustrated with capcom over the decision in my opinion. If I hadn't read about the issues/lack of content online and had purchased it, I would be quite upset I think.

The FGC is what keeps games like these going for year and years. Casuals do nothing for Capcom's bottom line. Even if the game was complete you would only play it for a month or two and move on.

you're crazy if you think that casuals don't matter. why do you think they are making a cinematic story mode? to appease the 1% of people in the FGC? or for the 99% of people who don't care or know about the FGC? it's for the casual fighters that netherrealms completely dominates at this point in time.

the FGC is what keeps these games going for years and years, the casuals are what fill capcom's pockets. capcom has already said they aren't doing any pay upgrades and that all DLC can be earned for free in game, so that up front $60 is all they really care about.

My issue isn't who is crying, it is that people are crying because they can't read. Capcom wasn't ready to release the game and did so ONLY for those that want to get in practice for tournies. They tried to help out the people who actually care about their games and the people who don't care (and can't read they did this for a reason and are going to patch it with the other modes in the next month) are the ones crying and rating what is admitted to be an unfinished game released for people who want to get in practice for an upcoming tournament.

So? People paid $60 and not everyone reads forums.

god damn this game is so freaking fun. i have been playing some really good sets with this Rashid and damn, this game is SSSUUUUPPPPPEEERR fast paced. it's so much fun and there is like no room to breathe. i cannot wait for balrog to come out.

i just wish it did't hvae all the server issues and stuff. tonight it's been messed up like 2 separate times for like 30 minutes each. but when it's playing it's really good.

the ONLY reason this game was released now is because sony rushed it out for e-sports reasons.

puh-lease.... show me where they make an effort to announce to their potential customers that they are releasing an incomplete game and whatever else garbage excuses you are parroting.

I read perfectly fine and being that it was a highly anticipated triple A game, (that costs $60). there is absolutely no reason to expect what we got. it should have been clearly stated in the advertising or should have been sold for less than what a complete game costs.

the fact is that they released a less than complete game for complete-game-price.

sorry for being off topic or derailing but i find it rediculous that you would want to shame people who are upset for "not being able to read".

Man, there's no Blanka? Is he gonna be released soon?

Actually, I wish they would release it like KI where you can purchase individual charcters. I play as Blanka only.

yeah i agree. it's just factual that this game is completely barebones and missing extremely basic content that one would have every right to be upset about if they purchased it for $60.

and the game being "always online" with the servers constantly being completely garbage isn't helping anything. sure you can play in an offline mode, but when you do, you won't earn fightmoney or anything, and when you go back online, it isn't granted to you at that point.

then you had them take the servers down for "maintenance" last night for hours and apparently it's still acting the same as it was before.

it's just a debacle of a launch and it could potentially hurt them in the long run. as a software dev myself it's a shame how it's now the standard to rush stuff out the door that in the long run costs you more, just to meet deadlines. it's clearly what happened here.

just look at their twitter feed here. it's a constant merry go round every few hours of the same shit about them knowing there are issues, resolving them, blah blah. they're probably just restarting the servers and freeing up memory, then it piles up, errors happen, and they rinse repeat again.

they are doing that with DLC chars. but blanka isn't even coming the first year as DLC, they already announced the first 6.

alex is the first, and there is no order stated yet of the rest, but they are guile, balrog, juri, ibuki, and urien (shown in that order when they revealed who they were, but they said that isn't necesarily the release order)

If I were Capcom I would have done a cheaper "tournament edition" to tide over the tourney players and then released the full game at $60 when it was actually done. That way you're not charging non tourney people $60 for a game that was rushed out just for tournaments. I may buy it anyway since eventually things will be added to it and I can have some fun playing vs my friends.

This is exactly what I thought too. They could have sold a $30 edition on PSN and Steam with the basic features for tourney players and tell them that since they bought it early they are entitled to purchase an unlock pack for $20 (so they save $10) and get all the stuff the full game gets when released. So if you buy early you don't feel that cheated.

Many people probably had no clue it wasn't the full launch. There's undoubtedly a lot of people who love street fighter but never do tourneys and didn't read any forums about it. I wouldn't have known if Purebeast didn't mention it.

booooooooooo

Why no love for Blanka?? Not getting it until Blanka is available. I remember winning my first local tournament with Blanka while everyone else was Ken or Ryu back in the day. People were totally surprised... lol

I'm actually glad he is not in it I hated fighting blanka in SF4U so many people just spam that stupid rolling ball move. I'm hoping the keep the annoying characters to a minimum. SFV already has FANG and everyone I fought that uses him just corner camping throwing that stupid poison makes for boring ass fights!

The last guy I fought in a lobby doing that crap I just give him both rounds then booted him out of lobby after it was done.

blanka was one of the worst characters in SF4 and was so easy to beat because his tools were terrible and he was so easily punished. his blanka ball wasn't even safe unless you used the LP one, which hard no distance to it.

if you keep getting cornered by someone playing as FANG, then they have a better position game than you. the solution is to not let them get you into the corner. once you're in the corner, you've already been outplayed and need to try and gain your space back. he's got great zoning tools so why wouldn't the player zone with them?

it's the same thing against gief. the goal when playing gief is to not let him get in on you. once he's in on you, you're goal should be to get away from him to gain space control.

I didn't mean them getting me into the corner I mean staying on their own side just spamming the poison.

that's called zoning, it's not a new concept to fighters by any means. there's plenty of ways to deal with it. FANG is just weird because he's new and no one knows how to play against him. i faced my first FANG in a FT5 in battle lounge, and the first 3 matches he destroyed me because i had no clue what he was doing or how to form a gameplan. but in those 3 matches i was gaining knowledge and wasn't losing the rounds as bad as i was at first, after playing just a few rounds.

ended up going 4-4 and i ended up winning 5-4. you just gotta learn and adapt, that is the whole fun in fighters.

While I agree that he is a new character and we have to learn to fight him.

I wouldn't call sitting in the corner spamming fireballs zoning.

More like defensive turtling lol, it makes for a very boring fight!

I've seen people zone property with an actual game plan what i've seen from most of the fang players isn't that.

A great character for Zoning in SF4U was sagat and he is one of my mains in that game so I know what its all about.
