I'll definitely get it on PS4 but I'm not a hardcore fighter fan so I'll probably wait for a sale. I don't think I'm that good at fighter game but I think it had to do with the fact I don't play many and not against many people.

Though if Dead or Alive 6 come out and I can play online against other people, count me in! Sexy chicks fighting is awesome and I love the grapple and environmental damage not seen in Street Fighter games.

Played a few matches and it feels good. Using a pad sucks though and I don't know many combos and stuff so I lose.

Nice combo at the end, gonna have to remember that one for Ryu. Too bad we can't play Ken to compare cause I reckon I'd like Ken better.

I wish when you lose you can immediately skip out of the screen that shows the XP and crap.

yeah that is the most damaging combo i knew with him (481 damage), however, just now in training, i found one that is like 511 that you can do anywhere, and is very simple. that one only works in the corner.

the other one is solar plexus, cr.fp,fp.srk xx into super.

does 556 damage with vtrigger activated.

Ahh yeah I've done that one a few times. First time by accident by accident because on the pad I often press more directions than I need to. I didn't think it would cancel. Once when I did it the super missed cause it stunned the opponent heh

dunno wtf they did to the netcode in the maintnenace last night on the server, but holy shit it's better online now.

Just tried and it was unplayable. Literally a slideshow. Not only that but it matched me against someone ranked like 5 tiers above me(if that is even working yet).

I haven't played the beta, but I watched some and talked with a few people playing it and it is sounding pretty solid.

I am still baffled at the PS4 exclusive, but whatever. Crapcom knows best right?

Get it on PC and play against PS4 players then . You wouldn't need a new stick or mod one either if you have something that works on PS3(assuming you use one) if they don't have the backwards compatibility driver in the game.

The few matches I had before today were excellent. Very hard to tell it was online.

it's ps4 exclusive cause sony is paying for a lot of the development. at this point i'm convinced it will never be coming to xbox one too. initially i thought no way it would not be on x1 eventually, but they are claiming there will be no "super" or "turbo" iterations, and that sf5 is more of a platform and all future characters/updates will be free DLC or obtainable via the in-game currency you accumulate from playing the game.

i know capcom has a history of lying so it's not gospel, but just talking about what is known so far.

word on the street is the latest build at PAX has had a damage nerf to the critical arts. if capcom starts turning this game to shit i'm going to be heated. that change seems so unecessary. damage in this game is great.

just bumping to let people know if they didn't already, that the next beta starts next week and it will have crossplay between PS4 and PC, which will be interesting. looks like they have the CFN up as well which will be tested, and it's nice that we will test out completely new characters this go around.

yeah ken looked the funnest to play as from the vids. i also am interested in vega, rashid, and necalli. never been big on grapplers in general so i doubt i'll care about r-mika, and i've never been a big rekka character so i don't see myself going for karin either.

you can do story mode fine, logging onto the network was hit miss last night. they should atleast greenlight adding friends or invites to room tournys. would make it more fun, instead a fight will disconnect from the server at random.

atleast ps3 fight sticks work..

it is a half assed story mode, missing tons of online modes. you can't even play your friends or play someone more than 1x in a row. it's hard as shit to get matches right now for most people. it literally feels identical to the beta.
