Street Fighter 5 exclusive to PS4 and PC

i know the shop isn't going to be available until march so maybe that's why? not sure though i haven't redeemed anything yet.

it is a half assed story mode, missing tons of online modes. you can't even play your friends or play someone more than 1x in a row. it's hard as shit to get matches right now for most people. it literally feels identical to the beta.

That's horrible. I'm still going to pick up my collectors edition on friday. I don't know how they released the game without being able to match up against friends. I hope they can fix it quickly, but I don't understand how it can have such a terrible launch after all the beta tests.

i canceled my preorder as soon as i heard how lacking the content was going to be at launch. i didn't want to give capcom an extra $40 for some stupid ass ryu doll and a book i probably would never look at. but i did not realize that the game would literally be the beta with survival mode.

Yeah I don't think I'll spend $60 on it with next to no single player, I tend to mess around in single player a lot before I even try going online so not even having an arcade mode is pretty annoying. I've read there's a survival mode, which I usually like playing, but I also read it's an online mode so you get kicked out of it if you lose your connection which is just retarded.

This is off topic but whatever happened to Capcom vs SNK games? The 2nd one ranks as one of my favorite fighters ever, I wish they'd make a newer one but I get the feeling they won't ever do that.

yeah from what i've read, it sounds like on PC you can't even get into the menus of SF5 unless you are connected online. it hangs at the white screen if you unplug your ethernet.

survival mode is dumb as shit it's 1 round matches and at the end of each match you can pay with your score for "perks" or just go on with out it, and you don't gain health.

i only tried out survival just to see what it is like. the story mode i hear is like an hour tops. i have no desire or reason to play it though. i just wish online worked so i could start playing real people cause that is really the only way to get better.

PC launch is/was horrendous. first game i ever wanted to refund. for 60 bucks they could have put a couple of minutes of thought into the porting of this game. no mouse support, no stick support. start button mapped to enter, the other keys are bnm,ghjk. i had to literally mash every key on my keyboard to get through the tutorial and was raging pretty hard. after the tutorial is some TLDR screens where you have to LB and RB to get through(which i didnt realize), i thought my game froze so i hard reset my laptop and windows 10 decided to default into tablet mode. i nearly threw my laptop through a window.

wow you can't skip that lame ass prologue with young ryu/ken on pc? you can skip it on ps4 but you have to skip it in "parts". you skip the cutscene, then get into the fight, pause, select to skip fight, then do that like 2 other times.

i hated how every beta you had to skip that shit too from like beta 3 on. it's so dumb.

Been playing the game since last night enjoying it so far.

For anyone using a Hori FC4 controller make sure to install x360ce for it to work.

Funny enough the stock Xbox controller works fine.

if anyone wants to add me on their "favorite" or however they are trying to do it, my name is 'purbeast' on CFN. i hope they streamline the whole friends thing and how you invite people. it's pretty dumb right now. i haven't done it yet but the battle lounges supposedly work for 1v1 where you can invite your buddies.

hah wow that is so bad. it's so obvious that sony told capcom that this game must be out by this date and we end up with this crappy incomplete beta product.

They, based on community feed back, release the game 1 month early with only training mode and matchmaking online. This was mostly for people to get ready for the Capcom Cup.

Also, it looks like they only used xInput and PS3 / PS4 / anything not MS official doesn't work.

There is cross platform from PC / PS4, so I may just skip the PS4 version once the patch comes in a month (as Capcom stated before release).

if you don't own it right now, i would not recommend purchasing it yet unless you just want to do online stuff. i did get matches pretty quickly earlier in ranked and most were pretty smooth. this weekend i'm going to play with a buddy who is 2000 miles away in a battle lounge so i'm anxious to see how that goes. when we play killer instinct it's buttery smooth.

just played 2 first to 5's with my buddy in arizona (im in MD) and wow, it was buttery smooth. no lag at all, felt like we're in the same room. also when you set it to ft5 you get right back into the matches, it goes back to the lobby after the set is up. really good experience.

Yeah, I'm waiting for the patch. I'm in no hurry to get it as I don't really do tournys anymore (UFGT is gone and I go to EVO mostly to spectate).

Those of you on PS4 version, is there voice chat available when playing in a match?

I just bought the PC version and was hoping I could do voice chat with PS4 users. (My out of state friends have the PS4 version). I don't see any voice chat option on the PC version at all.

Ideal scenario for me would have been if I could play PC versus my friend on PS4 and voice chat with them in the game lobby. PC version was cheaper, I have a better pad for it, and also avoid yearly PSN fee.

Start a PSN party chatroom and invite them. That works in the background so you can play while chatting on PS4.

SFV on PS4 sucks ass. PC is clearly the superior version. Runs smoother and looks better on PC. Also PC is getting a patch soon to support direct input as well so every stick is going to work.

Some places like E-Sports Arena in SoCal have switched to PC for the tournies. EVO will be PS4 because Sony is paying to have it like that.

Also the only reason SFV was released incomplete like this is because of one reason and one reason only which is Capcom Cup which season starts on the 25th of this month.
