I have to admit, the way they do he pricing at the bottom of the page makes me go WOW! "You save $550" even though there's only a couple games I'm interested in with that pack.

In for the Batman though, missed it on the xmas sale.

Are there any good Square RPGs for PC? It really sucks that I can't get FF 13 for PC, I don't have a console.

The only Square Enix RPG on Steam is The Last Remnant. I haven't played it, or Final Fantasy XIII, but I dunno if I call either of the them "good".

The were PC ports of Final Fantasy VII and VIII, but I dunno where you'd find them these days. Playing the PlayStation versions on a emulator on the PC may be a better option in any case. It's not hard to find the original PSX versions of these games used or even new.

If you're looking for a Japanese RPG on the PC and one that's available on Steam you might want to look at Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale.

I've toyed with getting Batman AA for the PC but I've already purchased & beat it on the 360 a while back. Would it be worth my while at all going from the console version to the PC version?

someone answer this man. i've got it for the ps3 and heard the control scheme made it easier to play on a console and have skipped getting it so far on the pc even though i haven't played it at all yet.

i just downloaded batman AA and it looks and feels amazing on PC, the controls are pretty fluid and you cant beat the graphics

Everything I've read from posters on this forum is that even on PC you want to use a gamepad.

I picked it up during the holiday sale and have beaten it. I used the KB/M and I didn't have one single issue with the controls at all. The game graphically looks great too, probably the best looking game I've played in 3D too so far, it was fucking terrific in 3D.

God I better stay away from their sales, I keep buying stuff that I probably will never ever ever play. Just don't even look at it.

Batman is unplayable without a gamepad. I used an xbox 360 controller, and didn't like the game anyway.

hm, I haven't played batman AA on any platform (never really a fan of the batman series, so the game didn't appeal to me), however everyone i know gave it raving reviews, so I decided to pick it up today.

Will I have any issues running it on this rig? (1920x1080, C2Q9300 @ 3.0GHz, Radeon 4870 512 @ 815 core, 925 mem)

is it really that bad? I rather not have to resort to buying a controller just to play the game

That is complete bullshit. I used KB/M for the entire thing and didn't have one single problem playing it.

no it is bullshit, I played through the entire game with the KB/M and didn't have a single problem, I found the controls fine.

i don't know what they are gonna sell. i mean really. square does this same exact sale like what? every other month? i played batman on my 360. awesome game. too bad i have a ATI GPU which (gasp) doesn't play Batman due to nvidia tactics. openCL! bullet! HAVOK! PhysX needs to burn and go away. buying batman IS a vote for shrewd closed source anticompetitive physics scheming.

Personally, skip Just Cause 2. Horrible voice acting and the controls/animations/actions just felt clumsy to me.

Wish I'd noticed BAA for sale though.

Maybe they'll do a recap sale Friday/this weekend.

Agreed, used KB/M and it worked perfectly. Game play is more conducive to controller but a controller definitely isn't necessary.

The mouse/kb works beautifully, actually. B:AA is one of the RARE ports that are done well. I'm a jaded bitter gamer who despises the consolization of PC games, and I completely recommend B:AA, so that should tell ya something. :)

Looking for good voice acting in a game that gives you the higher score the bigger the explosions and havoc you cause? Methinks uou're sniffing up the wrong arse :p

The controls are not that different than games like Assassin's Creed. I used a keyboard and mouse, but switched to a controller because it works out better for that particular game.
