I played the first one for about an hour, thought it was shit. The controls are unbelievably bad. It's like no one ever even play tested it, they're so awful. You'd think controls for a third person action game would be a solved problem, but they managed to screw it up.

Yeah didn't like it either. The controls are terrible and the guy is a mute that takes up half the screen. Weird game.

Are any of those worth getting? I've never played those.

I usually pick up any game that's really cheap, so maybe I'll try Airborne.

Bad Company 2 and Vietnam or both very good. BF2 is good, but it is hard to recommend it even at that price with BF3 coming out in the Fall.

So, which would be best to buy? Bad Company 2, Battlefield 2, or Medal of Honor?

My guesses for sales for the rest of the week are, in no particular order:

Command and Conquer Day
Need for Speed Day
Spore/Sims Day
Mass Effect/Deadspace Day
Crysis Day
Battlefield Day

probably have some other random games thrown in on some of those days (like Burnout Paradise

I did pretty good with the guesses for the days I'd say :D

Ell oh ell, EA's authentication servers (for Crysis at least) are down.

Edit: Actually, it's a problem with the keys themselves. EA CS reps are handing out new keys seemingly at random. I managed to get a new one, but a lot of people on Steam's forum are just getting copypasta saying it's Valve's fault.

After messing with it for what seemed like hours I finally figured out how to fix the ME sound issue: I had to set my speakers to 2 ch and turn off hardware sound.

The sound is very low and thin; I have to turn my volume way up, but at least I can hear the dialogue now instead of overwhelming background noise.

What sucks is that it doesn't always work. Sometimes when I enter a game the loud background noise returns and I have to turn the Hardware sound on and then off again, mess with the volume sliders, and then restart and hope.

What a HUGE pia. Couldn't EA or Bioware have fixed this issue?
