Too rare for me, but it's your steak, so enjoy it however you want. :wine:

I have to try to cook a steak on my cast iron pan some day...

I don't know what is wrong with you folks .. I'm with TB, rare and bloody, just like a steak should be. I'm eating meat, not leather. Kudos TB!

That's almost a blue steak, and I would definitely eat that. On this side of the screen, though, it reminds of me anal pr0n.

best skillet steak is to cook on low heat 3 tbs of butter until it browns (smells like caramel and walnuts) . Then crank the heat to max. Salt the steak and drop it in, cook to desire and enjoy (personaly I like a bit of charr on the outside and warm red. Highest heat settings allow for this.

Yuck. Eat a real steak with some flavor:

Well... you see, a few years ago, mankind invented this thing, we've since called FIRE. It has a number of uses, including cooking food, which kills bacteria which can cause salmonella, amongst others. It also adds a side benefit to some items in that it gives it a nice char/smokey flavor, when cooked with wood.

you might want to look into it 🙂

it's helped out alot!

Looks good. Definitely getting a steak next time I'm in the dining hall. Their rare isn't quite as rare but... 😛

Yes, and bacteria is only on the outside of a good cut of meat.

It's a commonly known fact...

It's a commonly known fact that MOST bacteria is usually just on the outside of ANY cut of meat. Good, Bad, whatever.

that doesn't mean that there is NONE on the inside, ever.

and.. unless you live in a hemetically sealed environment, there's no guarantee there's nothing in your kitchen, or house, or anything else.

Honestly, there's nothing wrong with that steak. However, most of us prefer medium rare to medium 😛

Jeepers - there is rare.. and there is raw - TB's steak falls in the latter category!

Edit - Sorry, was being rude - Yay for you and your steak🙂 - I just prefer mine very cooked. Oh and very chicken. 😛
