And the Democrats can't even release the results of the caucus in Iowa. They're not sure whose spare delegates they want to find in a dark corner. I bet Nancy is on her way down to tear the results up.
You act like that problem is unique to Democrats. Republicans did much worse in 2012 announcing Romney the winner and then later changed to Santorum.

Having said that the Dems did fuck this one up. (note honest response and lack of tribalism). We need to change from Iowa being the 1st state. Their demographic does not accurately reflect the country. Maybe some sort of round robin method made up of smaller states. Also caucus systems is flawed and antiquated. Change to primary

State of the Union is... corrupt, anything goes. Trump used a lot of humans as political props last night. He also lied a hell of a lot, but don't worry - Fox News has his back to sell those lies. The zealots want heads on spikes the moment anyone even pauses to consider the truth. I know, I've seen them rage at anyone on Fox News who isn't over their head in kool-aid.

Gonna give credit where it’s due—I didn’t think he was capable of making it through the whole night without mentioning impeachment. But he did it. And I think it worked for him.

I think he managed knowing that the Senate would cover his ass. If there was even the slightest doubt, he'd have found an excuse to rail on about it.

Nancy shouldn't had ripped up those papers. It just looked bad, and she looked like a bitter person. You could tell that Trump was getting under her skin.

In Asia it's very important to save face. Nancy should had done the same. Put on a big smile, and move on. Her reaction just played into Trump's hand, and it just gives him more ammo for the upcoming 2020 presidential election. Also, it looks like another 4years of Trump unless something BIG happens.

your brethren are already on it

In 1775 we had the shot heard around the world.
In 2020 we had the rip heard around the world.
Go Nancy! 💖

Just flipped back from TCOOI every 10 minutes or so. Same old the best this, the best that in the history of the world. Apparently, the surrounding antics by Dems and Pelosi was the height of the evening I guess.

Cheer up guys, you only have 4 more Trump SOTU speeches to go. Think of it as the glass being half full.

Hey, remember how conservatives were warning liberals about hubris in 2016? I know you fantasize about a Trump dictatorship every day, but how about we wait until November 2020 before making any presumptions?

The problem is not the president.
The problem is the 535 pussies we have who let him get away with it every day.
I have never been so disappointed in my country as I have this past month.

He'll win.

The american voter has made it abundantly clear they honestly do not care what the president does so long as our "economy" is good.
And I put that in quotes because not enough people can agree on what the "economy" is. For a lot of people it seems if the Dow Jones is strong thats enough. The purchasing power of a middle class family isnt even considered.

Yea, me too, at age 63 I was pleasantly surprised I've lived long enough to actually see a black man become president, and two terms as well. I thought we'd turned a corner but man I was WAY wrong, the festering hatred grew like an infected boil and along came Trump to pop it. Why there was little public outrage about a trial without witnesses/documents was shocking to me, let's see if that plays up in November but in reality, I doubt it does. :(

I understand it, but I think it was still a mistake to make a scene out of it like she did. Should have been avoided or done differently, but I get that she was mad. I'd say any American who saw their Constitution wither and our republic phase into being another banana republic has every right to be mad. If you're not mad, you might be in a cult.

That's incorrect. The Democratic majority in the house impeached Trump & all the Democrats in the Senate plus Mitt voted to convict him. Lots of Americans still have honest core values. Which is not to include Trump or GOP politicians, obviously.

The same core values that have Hunter Biden collecting a cool million a year for a job he isn't qualified for? Get off your soapbox please.

Sad to see so many so called smart people that can't think objectively. It's either red or blue and nothing in between. All the while both parties have been robbing us blind. Fools.

So what? He's a private citizen, not a politician. He's not President, either, and never will be. Is it too much to ask that our President not knowingly engage in criminality & corruption? Do you imagine that this won't embolden him? Trump? Get real, OK?
