Well I think ive nearly seen em all when it comes to Space scifi tv shows. Any word on new series coming to a channel near you?

I was so angry when they cancelled SGU... hey it may have not been the greatest ever but at least it gave me a fix every week.

The ONLY chance of seeing any space scifi on tv in the near future is the Blood and Chrome movie that Syfy is refusing to show.

I have to think at some point the cheap b*stards at syfy wil show it.
But thats it. Thats the end. Not a ray gun or hyper drive in sight.

In fact most people alive today may not live to ever see another space scifi show.

After the first 8 seasons of SG I really liked the 2 seasons of SGU. Followed by SGA and then SG season 9 and 10 and the movies.

I still haven't watched Stargate Universe since I was so annoyed they canceled Stargate Atlantis for it.

Maybe time to look for older or more obscure content?
For example, Nick Frost was in one called Hyperspace in the UK, it was on netflix at one point in time, dunno if it's still available there. It was more or less comedy, but, it at least was on a spaceship. Not too good, but not too bad either IMO.

It's in the plans I've read. I believe it will start being worked on after the next star trek movie.

Right now they are worried about cannibalizing sales from the DVDs and Blurays and building a fanbase with the new continuum.

You should have hit yourself in the head with a brick instead of watching that.

If you have Amazon Prime, check out the free instant viewing options. Lots of sci fi shows in there. Rewatched all of SG1 and Firefly. STTOS remastered, Farscape and Dead Zone are probably next. Its like what the Sci Fi channel should have been, and its kinda free!

Yes, yes it does. Make yourself watch the whole pilot. You will not stop until you've blown through the series and the movie. Then you will cry yourself to sleep nightly, wishing for more.

Sometimes I wish they would make another Stargate, maybe based on the Area 51 facility. Considering all the work that Area 51 was supposed to be handling during the course of the two Stargate series (I'm excluding Universe, couldn't stand that show) and the movies, a Stargate: Area 51 series set either in the past or future would be interesting if they did it right.

I'm re-watching Atlantis now though, I consider it as good as SG-1, and in some ways better.

Funny you should mention that. A show called Area 51 was just announced. I don't remember the network, but I believe it is cable

Found it:

http://geektyrant.com/news/2011/11/23/walking-dead-producer-developing-area-51-tv-series.html

The producer of the hit zombie TV series The Walking Dead Gale Anne Hurd is developing a new series with her Valhalla Entertainment production company based on the legendary Area 51. The series will be based on a book they optioned called Area 51: An Uncensored History of America's Top Secret Military Base, which was written by Annie Jacobsen. The book itself gives some interesting information on highly classified military base. The information she gathered came from people who actually worked on the base.

The show is being planned as a hour-long drama, and it will follow two men working on the base who are thrust into danger when they uncover secrets that the government will protect at any cost. The series will be written by Karl Gajdusek (Dead Like Me).
