my only critique of the poster is why was Jon Snow introduced to the Star Wars universe?
Because.

I'm going to be the emo around here and say the trailer much like the first one didn't rouse the feelings that the Force Awakens ones did.

And I ended up not liking Force Awakens. 🙁

Got my 7:00 Thursday ticket preordered. Damn "convenience" fee. >.>

I think the huuuuuuuuge anticipation for Force Awakens made that feel different. Now we are getting a Star Wars movie every year for the foreseeable future so we can never get as excited anymore for Star Wars as we did for Force Awakens.

Im in line online at Fandango right now.

I've actually gotta wait in line, online to buy fucking tickets for a movie two months away.

Well, its better than camping out on a sidewalk all night, like a loser.

So we definitely know there's some type of connection between Kylo Ren and Rey. I don't think it's them being siblings, that would be too obvious. Probably has something to do with them both being trained by Luke when he was training people alongside young Kylo Ren. Shit went downhill, she lost her memory, and that's why she doesn't remember any of it and why she's so strong in the force seemingly out of nowhere.

My interpretation from the trailer is they both switch sides to some extent. Rey's being more OP than Luke scares the crap out of Luke and sends her away. She goes to Snoke instead while Kylo has second thoughts of the First Order and opts not to complete his transition his path to the dark side by killing Leia, turning on Snoke.

Fandango froze.
By the time I got thru every ticket was sold.

Every
Fucking
One

God dammit.

Why watch it on the day of release? Got my ticket for the next morning Friday Dec 16th at 9 am, in 3D for $9.00.... no convenience fee. 😉

Plus this for free, $5.95 standard shipping and handling till 11/2 , while supply last.

Booked our seats yesterday / last night. Trailer looks pretty good although it's starting to blend more with just generic action movies sadly.

I don't like the name, 'the last Jedi'. Why are they down to one of the core group for the series?

Because the Jedi were the group that adhered to only using the light side of the force. I believe the conjecture is that Luke has realized you can use both, and have emotions, without becoming evil. You see hints of it with Kylo as well where he is fighting to use the dark side. Hence, there are no more jedi.

That's why I like theaters that use their own sites. They're generally less likely to go down compared to the huge conglomerate sites. I was able to easily buy tickets for Last Jedi on Thursday because the site only serves about five theaters from the same company.

I sat in line for 10 hours in the rain for Episode 1 tickets. I have some regrets in life...

lol. wasn't raining for me but I sat out there for a very long day as well.

I will probably see this 1-3 weeks after release like the previous one, avoiding the derper crowd.

I've had that same thought since TFA. Kylo was always struggling to be dark and thought that killing his father would make it work but the look on his face after he does it says that it did not help. Meanwhile Rey was definitely using anger to defeat Kylo, but that isn't so much unlike Luke using anger to defeat Vader so I may be reading too much into it. One of my first thoughts about the direction of the series after TFA was that they would switch sides or at least meet in the middle.

*points at my earlier post*

They are both trying to straddle the light / dark sides to become more powerful. By using both sides together, they have more potential power at their disposal. Or so the conjecture goes. It's hard for Kylo because he is too 'good' to use the dark side, and hard for Ren because she is too 'good' to use the dark side fully.
