I don't know how close to your TV you sit, but I figure that the image on the monitor will occupy a larger area of your field of vision than the one on the TV will.

FOV isn't the issue. The overall experience is.

I have little doubt that I'll end up with the game on both systems.

the Demo is on one of the DVDs in the box set...

Is the demo MP or Single? Can you get it online?

we dont know yet I would assume its multiplayer since the game is 98% online like BF1942 =p
I would imagine if Lucasarts has gone through all the trouble to get the demo on the DVD set it will prolly be the only way to get it for a while..

I dont know Skace only reveiws are for PC.. since the PC has the most features and the best networking...
the PC version was the flagship... the consoles are for non PC losers =P

I played around with this at E3 and it was alot of fun. Thing is, I just bought COD:UO! And just downloaded Desert Combat for BF: 1942. Too many games, not enough time to play.

PC version supports 32 players, Xbox and PS2 are limited to 16 players.

I haven't been following the other two platforms, but I know XBox supports 24 players on Live, 32 on LAN, along with 32 additional bots in either.

I had pretty much written this game off as another Lucas Flop, but after seeing the commercials on TV I was interested in playing it just because the action being shown looked really fun. That IGN review was one of the most disjointed and imbicilic reviews I have read in a long time, but it confirmed what I suspected would be the biggest weakness of the game, if this person's review can be relied on. He makes the maps out to be a star wars liscense with not much thought to game play or balance.

I'll wait for a few more reviews or a demo before I decide to buy.

the IGN reveiw seems a little misleading.. they do like the game but they dont like the single player AI..(who cares) and they think some of the maps have some balance issues (as they should since it is recreating Star wars battles from the movies..
the siege of hoth supposedly can be won by rebels with a good team but the odds are definatly stacked...

Ill buy it anyway... the mod community has plenty of mappers out there to fix that.

Seriously, I really dont know why I even have an ethernet cable attached to my gamecube... I played PSO for a while, but when I found out they weren't releasing a keyboard in the US, I stopped. I loved that game, but it was killed thanks to that. I may pick it up for the Xbox, but I dont like paying to play games.

Same here. Bought it today, but with Desert Combat and COD:UO I doubt I'll get to it. Maybe I should use a sick day to catch up.

I'm not impressed so far. seems like totally unorganized mayhem and the graphics aren't that great.
if it weren't for the memorable Star Wars audio like lasers and X-Wings it would be suckier.

I've only played 40 minutes of it, so maybe it will grow on me.. or maybe I need to find better servers...

- Battlefield Vietnam

Do NOT buy this game. I played it for 10 min now and I already regret buying it for 39$.
It seems like they are way behind or made to many compromises. It feels like a console game.

I am quite disappointed!
