Better stay away till you get that VCP. 😉 Pretty high demand around here for that...and some very good salaries.
Yup, that's what I'm hoping for. I'm done with the class already - just trying to be 100% prepared so I don't fail the exam.

Has anybody here tried voice commands yet? After watching a few videos, it seems like a choice method of controlling ship functions - - especially during the heat of a dogfight.
Ugh..thinking of getting into this..
Debating between the Anniversary Aurora LX for 45. OR I can get the The Next Generation Aurora LX LT1 package...with Alpha/Beta access for 130.00.
Decisions decisions.
I have used voice attack in the past in the dog fight module, however it was pre-version 0.8/1.0 when a lot of the commands changed. That said, I am sure there are updated voice command setups to import by now (I just havn't looked). This is one of the ones I bookmarked a while ago:

I don't see the Aurora LX LT1 package either, but that seems awfully overpriced.
If you're going to spend that much, you can get an Origin 315p or 325a with beta / Star Citizen & Squadron 42 DL, and an Arena Commander pass for less than $85, and you'll have way more fun flying it.
It's from the grey market.
It comes with Transferrable lifetime insurance. Alpha Access and Beta Access.
Will this Insurance cost a lot?
Like in real-life insurance should be a relatively small part of your regular in game expenses which will also include paying landing fees, trade tariffs (if in a system with lots of infrastructure and law and order), fuel (if you dont collect it yourself from a gas giant), buying cargo to trade, hiring help, making upgrades to your ship or even buying a whole new ship.
Some of the additional policies like upgrade or cargo insurance will be rated based on risk levels. Risk level 1 being the safest systems and risk level 5 being the most dangerous system that is insurable for cargo or upgrades. Any risk level over 5 is un-insurable. A risk 3 policy for cargo will cover you for all cargo losses in a risk 3 system or below. The higher the risk level of the policy the more it will cost. As with the base insurance this will not be crippling financially but instead be a reasonable running cost that relates to the risk / reward profile of the systems flown.

Just picked up an AMD Mustang Omega package and applied it to my account. Looks like I'll be losing an hour or two of sleep tonight.
Just checking, but it is currently on SP, right? No multiplayer support yet?
There is some multiplayer. Dogfighting PvP, racing, and co-op PvE.
Nice. Curious since it will be another 2 hours since I get home, and probably another hour before I can play, how many people can get in a game at once? Is there a "friends" system so you can play with your buddies?
Yes, the most recent patch made it so that you can play with friends. I don't recall how many people can be in a game at once off the top of my head, I think it's around 16 but I could be off.
Grabbed the Arena Commander Aurora Package for 22 bucks off the grey market.
If a 275 dollar constellation is equivocal to 60 hours of grinding the funds for it. Then I'm starting in a tiny ship and grinding it out instead of paying real funds.
Does that give you the game / beta access / etc, or is it just in addition to what you buy from their store?
I believe it would be like 60 hours of farming credits (or whatever) would be able to purchase a ship of that nature. (Quoted from Reddit so who knows)
"We can tell you that Chris Roberts has stated that he expects the average person to earn a Constellation after about 60 hours worth of gameplay. To me, that doesn't sound too bad. Can't say if others feel the same way."

So to clarify- for $22 you got effectively the same as the current $45 package (beta access and AC access)?
Just remember to buy something (anything) so you'll get backer status.
Also, we should all start being friends!

Is it worth being a backer now that they've reach every single stretch goal?
They are still occasionally handing out bonuses(items/perks) to current backers and may add more stretch goals in the future.
