Yeah, I'm a pretty sharp guy myself. It is possible there is more to this story. But this is what I was presented by my friend. I did ask few poking questions to no avail.

This is a good one, claim whoever she was in contact with was talking about nasty stuff to get them all deported.

That, or hire someone to find out where she nowadays lives, hire thugs to wait for her to leave the house and then butcher her 'new' boyfriend and torch the place. Tell them they can have anything of value in the house so it looks like a robbery and you can rinse and repeat later on.
