It's actually going to be a stupid ass Facebook game.

Sadly this is what I have heard. A social networking game for mass profit. It's Blizzard, so I would have faith - but since D3's lack of creativity I don't know anymore.

I would be willing to bet that systems they release in games now will feed the next gen. IE - RMAH in D3, pet battling in WoW, battle.net features from starcraft.

Switching gears, the person who said 2013 for a release got some bad information. This is a company that has taken over 2 years to expand SC2. I don't think we will get a press release until at earliest the next blizzcon, which may or may not be in 2013. (2014 imho)

it will be DOA if it's anything like WoW. Nobody wants WoW anymore, nobody wants MMO anymore. They have moved on with their lives.

Your right 52 million dollars the first week is just terrible ... Even with numbers down 60% from cata, i think blizzard will manage to keep the lights on.

I think this is going to be spy-espionage meets near future technologies. Spycraft (the video game, not the roleplaying game) + Mercenaries (console game by Pandemic, (RIP :()). It will allow for heterogeneous roles. I.e. you will be the desk jockey doing investigative type puzzles while on your iphone (think Spycraft) and 3rd person action adventure ala Mercenaries while on your gaming PC/console. They will probably throw in a Borderlands style gear system for spy tech to boot.

Its been awhile since someone tried modern/near future setting for an MMO (Meridian 59?). It is easy for people to understand and there is no competition in the space.

The heterogeneous roles is a natural extension of the MMO into the mobile/smartphone space and the Borderlands style gear system is the analogue of magic for a MMO game.

I really can't see Blizzard doing anything besides their three franchises.
I just can't see them coming up with anything new and fresh. Warcraft and Starcraft are old and heavily "inspired" by Warhammer, Diablo 1 and 2 were made by Blizzard North who were bought by Blizzard close to the release of 1. D3 was commercially successful but cost a lot of fan loyalty.
What could Titan possibly be? It has to be big.
