Does anyone know what happens with the FBI investigation? One of the articles on this says that the special counsel investigation would "replace" the FBI investigation like an independent commission would have replaced the congressional investigations.

He will head it up independent of the DOJ. not much else changes.

Fun fact. Trump could actually fire Mueller if he really really wanted to and was really really stupid. So long independent counsel law.

Wikileaks spends an awful lot of time now in supporting Trump via innuendo and spreading propaganda. Putin has his arm right up Assange's ass.

Assange is probably hoping for a Russian limo to pull up to the embassy he's hiding in and take him to the airport and onto a flight to Russia.

Assange said he would turn himself in if Manning was released. Manning was released today I believe. Is he on his way to turn himself in ?

If they pardoned him and declared him innocent. They didn't do that, he's still guilty. They commuted his sentence, thus not fulfilled the "deal".

Name something they've been wrong on? They definitely have a political slant they advocate for, but name one thing they've got wrong.
It's difficult to say what they've wrong about when they never leak anything that can be independently verified.

Given the entirety of the memo, what you linked was obviously intended to deceive.

Trumpsters rarely get past the headline, let alone actually click on links.

McCarthy: The Russians hacked the DNC and got the opp research that they had on Trump.
McCarthy: laughs
[Crosstalk]
Ryan: The Russian’s hacked the DNC…
McHenry: …to get oppo…
Ryan: …on Trump and like delivered it to…to who?
[Unintelligible]
McCarthy: There’s…there’s two people, I think, Putin pays: Rohrabacher and Trump…[laughter]…swear to God.
Ryan: This is an off the record…[laughter]…NO LEAKS…[laughter]…alright?!
[Laughter]
Ryan: This is how we know we’re a real family here.
Scalise: That’s how you know that we’re tight.
[Laughter]
Ryan: What’s said in the family stays in the family

Lots of gold coming from WaPo lately.

Donald could play the ultimate Trump card. Pardon everyone associated with the investigation including himself.

I believe the President has the power to do so.

You'd quickly find he suddenly has the power to start riots in the streets if that were to happen.

Doesn't make it wrong.

Evidently Mueller delivered a small sample of HEU for forensic analysis as part of a joint anti-proliferation program between the two countries. This trip had to have been done in an official capacity at the time or else Mueller would have been under investigation the minute wikileaks released this cable.

Nothing to see here.

I would love to see Drumpf do that. He'd sign his own death warrant and that of his entire cabinet.

Why is that interesting? The guy who's investigating Trump over Russian ties delivered uranium to Moscow...

You guys are so easy to dupe it isn't even funny. Just reading the little bit on Twitter it was clear that it was a sample. Sane people would assume it was part of some type of nuclear agreement. Reading the full wire, shows it was part of a nuclear agreement.

He may be able to...
No one knows the answer. The Constitution says that the president "shall have the power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment." This sentence, like many in the Constitution, can reasonably be interpreted in several ways. And since no court has ruled on this issue--because no president has ever tried to pardon himself--it remains an open question.
